Shameless

So the person in charge of vote counting in Waukesha County in Wisconsin 'found' over 7500 uncounted votes for the Republican in the State Supreme Court race.

Okay two things:
  1. How incompetent do you have to be to lose over 7500 votes in the first place? Seriously, you knew it was going to be a close election and you lose 7500 votes in the first count? No. I call bullshit on that.
  2. 7500? Is she fucking kidding? It might be more believable if she said she found 750 more votes for her candidate but 7500? Holy shit, that's a whopper of a boldfaced lie.
In Washington DC they're shutting down the government because the Republicans aren't going to compromise. They want 60 billion in draconian cuts and they're going to do what ever they can to try to get them. They say we're broke and we have to tighten our belts and buck up and end the crazy runaway spending. Excuse me, didn't they just vote to continue the Bush tax cuts? If we had all that revenue would they still be shutting down the government?

Actually, yes they would because a Republican majority in the House or Senate will do whatever it can to emasculate and humiliate a POTUS from the Democratic party. This shut down isn't coming from concern for the deficit, they only get concerned about the deficit when they don't control the White House, it's about fucking the country up and then blaming it on the black man in the oval office. And the conservatives know they can get away with it because they control the media, they know their pals in corporate America will back them up 1000 percent, and they know Obama and Harry Reid will roll over and accept what ever they ask for.

We're royally screwed America. We need someone like FDR to step up and fight for us. And we need to dump everyone in Congress except for Dennis Kucinich and Bernie Sanders.

If Boner is correct...

...and we really are, as a country, broke, then I suggest we get the hell out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Korea, Bahrain, Israel, and all those other countries. We don't need to be spending money we don't have protecting people that don't need or want us there in the first place. Oh, and we also should totally raise taxes on people making over $250,000 a year and big business. I'm fairly certain most big oil and coal companies don't pay any taxes at all so we should totally tax them.

I never thought I'd say this but...

...I actually agree with something said by Gov. Rick Perry (R TX).

I agree with him when he says that Washington needs to stop thumbing it's nose at the American people. You see, the American people have resoundingly voted for change in the past two election cycles and we haven't gotten it yet.

  • We voted for a more equitable and liberal country and we have not gotten it yet, we're still attached to the rotting ball sacks of multinational corporations, the military industrial complex, and the prison industrial complex.
  • The majority of Americans want us out of the quagmire in Iraq and they don't want the war in Afghanistan escalated, and yet we're still there.
  • A majority of Americans wants single payer universal health insurance in this country and we still have not gotten it yet, and it looks like we won't get it either.
  • The majority of the people want the previous administration to be investigated for war crimes and war profiteering and that has not happened yet.
  • The majority of people in this country think the rich and corporations don't pay their fair share of taxes, so why are they not being made to pony up the dough?

So hell yeah, I agree with the Texas panderer, the people in the halls of power in Washington DC do indeed need to start to heed the will of the people and they need to get all those things the majority of us want done, done ASAP.

Stay classy you former POW you!

It looks like Bush McCain can tell the truth after all. Only after he's been caught lying that is. And the fundamentals of his promise to run a clean campaign were lies though. Heck, even noted liar and power mad bloviator Karl Rove said as much on FIXED News the other day.

Another whiny Republican

My douchebag Republican Congressman David Davis lost his primary to a challenger, as I gleefully reported the day after the results were in, and now he's retained a high priced Washington DC law firm, the kind they rail against all the time, to help him stay in office. He claims that there were (gasp!) Democrats who voted in our district's open primary, that means anyone can vote in either party's primary if they damn well want to, with the express purpose of removing him from office.
That's my lil' buddy in the center being told that he must be 'this tall to serve in Congress.'
********
Davis has decided not to concede because he says that there is a conspiracy afoot to get him out of office. He says that state law prohibits people who have an established voting record of voting for one party to cross over and vote in the other party's primary. He is on record saying that any one who knows of any Democrats who voted for his opponent should call his campaign office and turn them in so that his legal team can hunt them down. Being the responsible citizen I am I dutifully called his office and I left him a message. I told him that I saw little green men voting for his rival. I told them I also saw Osama Bin Laden and several other Arabic looking men who told me they voted for his rival. After I told them I also saw Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid voting for his rival, I told him that his tactics would give us all yet another reason to be proud of him and that the little baby Jesus would surely smile on his efforts to thwart the will of the people of this district.
********
Hey, you know what? You can join in the fun by calling his campaign office and leaving a message too! Please be nice and give him all the respect he deserves when you call him at 423-773-8861. You can also reach him at his soon to be ex office in Washington DC by calling 202-225-6356. And you can also reach him at his local district offices by calling 423-323-1235 or 423-317-7459.
********
Read all about the current plight of my whiny cry baby Congressman, who by the way wants to keep cock fighting legal, here. After I read that article I looked up the phrase crazy as a loon cry baby in the dictionary and I found Davis's picture next to the definition. He's symptomatic of the kind of whiny bullshit the Republicans are going to pull the day after Obama and company drive them from office on election day. Gird your loins people, it's going to be a tough fight dislodging these Republicans in November.
********
(Fez tip to my rabble rousin' buddy Rev. John over at Shuck and Jive for doing a post about this first. I get all my local news over there since I don't read my local paper.)

I must be doing something right

I awarded myself a gold star for pissing off the whiny right wing corporate apologists. Their henchmen have been reading my blog for awhile now and I've pissed them off so much so that they are finally commenting. One is so unhinged that I have such divergent viewpoints from him that it drove him into a fit of name calling frenzy awhile back. He's been back and he's not too happy that I am using my blog to speak out about how the corporations abuse us all. He's so angry about it that he's not only been leaving long winded comments, which I delete without reading, on my blog and he's going to other people's blogs who agree with me and he's leaving diatribes there as well. I love shaking up their corporate loving world view by putting my non corporate media approved opinions out there for them to read. I can imagine my would be tormentor and educator in his lonely little studio apartment in Queens wailing every time he sees another anti corporate post on here. Then after he gets done wailing about how wrong I am and his neighbors hit the wall to make him quiet down, he jumps on his lap top and writes his long winded drivel which I delete with out reading. Poor lil fella, I guess I hit a nerve in his empty lil life.

The other inane commenter I had recently hated my answers to the questions he asked about my post about Chile and that thug Milton Friedman's role in the coup of 9-11-73. I was nice enough to respond to his concerns and answer his questions but he didn't like it when I told the truth about "Saint" Milt. He excoriated me for relying heavily on Naomi Klein's new book The Shock Doctrine for my answers. The thing about that book is that unlike a book by Malkin or Coulter or Lucianne Goldberg Jr's new book is that Ms. Klein's book deals in facts and not opinion. Ms. Klein conducted interviews with pertinent people in the periods of history that she writes about and she documents all her other sources as needed. She did actual research and wrote a true and honest account of the damage done to this and other countries by the Chicago School of Economics wunderkind Milton Friedman. Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter would do well to emulate the rigorous research and scholarship that Ms. Klein puts into her books.

It pleases me to no end that I am making a difference with my little blog.

We gots us a Czar to oversee the warrin' and stuff

Just when you think it can't get much worse in Washington DC, it does. Our Idiot in Chief went and found himself a "War Czar."

No not that Czar. That would be just stupid. Oh wait, we forgot who we're dealing with here. Seriously though, after months of searching for someone to lead our armed forces in the wars of terror on Afghanistan and Iraq, King George finally found someone dumb enough to take the job. Word out of the White House is that now that they have a Czar. all the blame for the past four years of fucking up the war will be laid at his feet, along with all future blame for fucking things up worse than before.

Call us stupid, call us naive, or just call us flat out flabbergasted that the Pinhead in Chief would have so publicly searched for someone to do the job that the fucking COMMANDER IN CHIEF is supposed to be doing. Maybe this is all part of his master plan to privatize the federal government more and more.

Anyone remember back in 1999 when he said use his MBA skills on the country if elected? Remember that? Well boys and girls, this was the man who was president of the team that traded Sammy Sosa away to the Cubs. If you will remember that at times like this then maybe some of his antics will make more sense. Holy shit, how long can this nation stand being led by a venal, unfeeling, uncaring, amoral, responsibility shirker?

Sweet Jeebus, a fucking war Czar, unfucking believable.

But what really pisses us off over this is that President Pinhead did not ask us to take the job.

We'd be willing to bet the war would have been over long ago if we'd been in charge and then this kind of photo-op shit might have actually meant something.

Ladies, don't fixate on my bulge. It'll only drive you mad with desire for some monkey lovin.'

(We fling our thanks to Dr. Zaius for this and all photoshopped photos of yours truly.)

Surge over here, or Dude, where's my money?

While our troops die in the useless surge in Iraq, and thousands of Iraqi's die as well, a different kind of surge takes place here at home. From the AP:

CAMARILLO, Calif. - Gasoline prices have surged to a record nationwide average of $3.07 per gallon, nearly 20 cents higher than two weeks earlier, oil industry analyst Trilby Lundberg said Sunday. The previous record was $3.03 per gallon on Aug. 11, 2006.

We're at war to safe guard the flow of oil, so why the hell is gas so high? High gas prices cripple our economy, they hit the poor and middle class worse than they do the rich and well off, plus when gas prices are high like the are now the greedy oil companies profits run through the roof. Can we get any member of the Bush family to comment?

Gee, thanks Jenna.

Reaction to the Republicans Debate

We asked a few people to give us their reaction to the Republican debate tonight.

What did you think of the three candidates who said they did not believe in evolution?

Baby Timmy: "It makes me so mad that people who want to lead USA can be so stupid, I could cry. Oh poop I'm crying already."

How do you feel about Sen. McCain's assertion that the war is going well?

Anonymous College Gal: "Is that old bastard even paying attention? My god, people are dying at a faster rate over there now than before the surge."

Bad Hair Guy, what three words do you think describe Tom Tancredo best?

To be fair we also polled the candidates after the debate on a few issues.

Most of you embrace the war on Iraq even after the Iraqis say they want us out and the American people say they want us out. Most everyone says you live in a state of denial, would you agree?

Who is this nation's biggest enemy? People who seek to politicize our government? Those who would deny people their basic human rights? The coporations who seek to make us all their wage slaves? Those who oppose any attempts to stop climate change?

Is that the only enemy we face?

Are you guys serious? Oh, wait, we get it. If they live and remember how badly we bombed their country, killed their loved ones, left them with shoddily rebuilt schools and hospitals, allowed ExxonMobilBPShell to steal their oil, and maimed generations of their countrymen, then they are sure to turn into terrorists who hate us when they grow up.

Finally, will you stop screwing around and listen to the thousands of voices of reason who call for an end to the war on Iraq, for a more equitable economic system, for a national single payer health system for all Americans that has no for profit motive in it? Will you listen to those people who ask for those things?
Well guys, with attitudes like that no wonder this is what most Americans think of you:

Let's give the last word to the current President, Mr. President how did you think your guys did tonight?
Okay, fair enough, any chance that you will bring the troops home and end your wasteful insane war before the election next year?

That's what we thought. It's no wonder we support:

Vote Kucinich in 2008.

Letters to White Castle or How do you spell-i-fy futility?

Recently we here at Monkey Muck HQ signed an online petition to get King Georgie who lives in the White Castle to do something to help the people of Darfur. We knew it was a waste of time since he ignores what the people (and us monkeys) want, but we did it anyway just so the idiot would know where we stood.
Well tonight we got another email from the group trying to help the people of Darfur asking us to sign another petition and this one would go straight to the White Castle. We had our doubts. But lo and behold after we clicked the sign button, we got a little email missive from the address whitehouse.gov and here is what they said in their email: On behalf of President Bush, thank you for your correspondence.
We appreciate hearing your views and welcome your suggestions. Due to the large volume of e-mail received, the White House cannot respond to every message. Thank you again for taking the time to write.
We were shocked I tell ya, shocked that we actually got an email from the White Castle. Seizing our chance we fired off this reply: Respond to this message then, get this country the hell out of Iraq. And then you Mr. Bush need to resign.
We know, we know, if we were not on a watch list before, we sure as hell are now. We just hope that we can get bananas in Gitmo.

Paul's peter and Harry, or The Difference between a Neo-Con and The British Royal Family, or Blowin' in my Wind

Don't let the resemblance to us monkeys fool you, he's no simian. He's no friend of us simians. He's no friend of humans either. What Wolfie is, is a whiny old fart. He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and his paranoia over helping bring on the war on Iraq makes him cry, "They hate me because I used to be in the Defense Dept. I didn't do anything wrong when I got my main squeeze hired at an outrageous salary. I'm the victim here I tells ya, not all those dead Iraqis I helped kill or those pesky reporters who keep digging up the facts, why in my day we could control the press and make them say what we wanted."

From the AP: WASHINGTON - World Bank President Paul Wolfowitz on Monday decried what he called a "smear campaign" against him and told a special bank panel that he acted in good faith in securing a promotion and pay raise for his girlfriend. He reiterated that he had no plans to resign, and the President gave him a fresh endorsement.
In a prepared statement to the panel, Wolfowitz said the institution's ethics committee had access to all the details surrounding the arrangement involving bank employee Shaha Riza, "if they wanted it."

Nice job Paul, way to go. You learned from the best, your boss bush jr. It's never your fault when you get caught and if the press keeps insisting you did something wrong it's because they're part of the "liberal" conspiracy.

On the other side of the spectrum is youngest son of the late Princess Diana, young Harry. He's not afraid to step up and take responsibility. He could, and may well yet, stay home but nope. He's comitted to serving honorably, even in the misguided war on Iraq that you help get started.

You could learn a thing or two from young Harry's example.

It's Heeeeeere!!!!

That's right people, it's A28, April 28th, the national day to spell out I M P E A C H and to take to the streets to show your support for throwing the bloodthirsty Constitution trampling bastards out of the White House and into a cell in Gitmo.
All staff and hangers on here at Monkey Muck HQ will be hitting the streets here in Johnson City, TN with our signs at 2:00 PM. We will join other protesters from around the region and we will raise a ruckus for two hours or until THE MAN arrests us.
Join whoever is protesting in your area and let the war criminals in the Washington DC that the American public truly hates them and wants them driven from power as soon as possible.
Thank goodness for the First Amendment and the fact that bush jr has not revoked it yet.

Bad Georgie, Insane Dana

They got caught with their hand in the cookie jar. They broke the law yet again, this time it was the Hatch Act, which says that you can't have political meetings on US Government property.
At first they denied it and GSA head Lurita Doan tried pulling a "Gonzo," that saying she was at the meting but did not recall what it was about, in her testimony in front of Congress.

Now they admit it. And they not only admit to having one meeting, they admit to 20. Holy fecking cripes, if that is not the definition of in for a penny in for a pound we here at Monkey Muck HQ don't know what is then.

From the AP story on this mess:

Bush spokeswoman Dana Perino said no laws were broken and that the White House counsel's office signed off on the effort.
"It's not unlawful and it wasn't unusual for informational briefings to be given," Perino said. "There is no prohibition under the Hatch Act of allowing political appointees to talk to other political appointees about the political landscape in which they are trying to advance the president's agenda."
She added: "These briefings were not inappropriate, they were not unlawful, they were not unethical."
Some Democrats beg to differ.

Actually, all sane people would beg to differ. We can all only hang on and pray to what ever dark gods we believe in that reality catches up with these thugs who are occupying the White House.

And when it does, maybe, just maybe they will be all hauled off to prision in handcuffs.

Oh girl

Today in Condi news.

Condi abroad-

From the Associated Press:
OSLO, Norway -
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice on Thursday dismissed as "ludicrous" Russian concerns that Washington's plans to deploy anti-missile defenses in Europe would endanger Moscow's nuclear arsenal. (We Imagine that someone in The Kremlin has written a memo entitled "Bush determined to attack inside Russia" but unlike Condi who dismissed the memo that read "Bin Laden determined to attack inside US" the folks in the Kremlin are taking their threat seriously.)

Condi at home-
From the Associated Press
OSLO, Norway — Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Thursday she has already answered the questions she has been subpoenaed to answer before a congressional committee and suggested she is not inclined to comply with the order.
Rice said she would respond by mail to questions from the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee on the Bush administration's prewar claims about Saddam Hussein seeking weapons of mass destruction, but signaled she would not appear in person. (Why should she appear in person, her boss tells her that Congress has no oversight over the White House.)

Ol' Condi sounds a lot like her boss when she dismisses other nations concerns over things that directly affect those nations and scoffing at Congress. We suppose we should not blame Ol' Condi she is after all just taking her cue from the Idiot in Chief.
