My thoughts on the domestic spying the NSA is doing

We win! We win!

Our drone strikin' Nobel Peace Prize President just announced we're going to be getting out of Afghanistan in a couple of years, so that means we won!  Yipeeeeee!  It's another victory for the mighty US empire!

Here's what we won over there in Afghanistan:

• Billions of dollars in debt.
• a shit ton of PTSD cases.
• Lots of causalities.
• Scores of maimed soldiers.
• Far more fractured families than previously imagined.
• The enmity of the rest of the world.
• More terrorism!
• Hundreds of thousands of dead Afghans.
• Generations of people who will hate us forever no matter what we do or say from here on out.

Like the song says, "War, good gawd ya'll, what is it good for?  Absolutely nothin'."
 

Safe?

Serial liar and delusional former President Bush Jr said recently, "In terms of accomplishments, my biggest accomplishment is that I kept the country safe amidst a real danger."

My question is what country is he talking about?
The worst terrorist attack in our history took place under his watch.
Then he used that attack as a pretext to go to war where hundreds of thousands of people got killed, maimed, and psychologically damaged.
And because he took us to war extremists all over the world stepped up their terror attacks, thereby making the world a much more dangerous place. So he didn't keep this country safe. Nor did he keep our allies countries safe, both the bombings in Madrid and London were a result of the wars of terror on Iraq and Afghanistan.
Iraq isn't safe. Even after years and years of war.
Afghanistan isn't safe after ten years of war.

Oh wait, there is one group of people who Bush Jr did protect and keep safe, his base of obscenely rich white men.
Murdoch and his billions are safe.
Lying murderous Amway thug Eric Prince CEO of Blackwater/Xe and his billions are safe.

Pat Robertson and the Christian Taliban are safe.

The rest of the world and the working man and woman, not so much. History will show time and time again that Bush was the worst President ever. I wish there was a hell for his lying murdering delusional ass to burn forever in.

How dare you Ari

If you haven't seen Chris Matthews put Ari Fleischer on the spot about 9/11 happening on George W. Bush's watch, then you need to look up the video because seriously, it's comedy gold. Ari gets indignant when confronted with the fact that the biggest terrorist attack on US soil was under his President. He actually has the balls to say when reminded of that niggling little fact, "Chris, how dare you!"

It's like he's saying, "How dare you remind the American people of that!" Or, "How dare you not blame Bill Clinton!" Or, "How dare you see through the tissue of lies we so carefully built! God damn it, we kept America safe by watching thousands of people die and then sending thousands more Americans to their deaths in a wasteful useless war in Iraq!"

Of course all the dead, displaced, maimed, and psychologically damaged people with brown skin who didn't/don't speak English and who didn't love Jesus and the US of A don't matter in Ari's world. What matters most to Ari is that we were safe after his President stood by and let the biggest terrorist attack on US soil take place. Oh hang on, it turns on that his President's war of terror that was supposed to keep us safe actually didn't keep us safe at all. Cases in point:

• the Madrid bombings happened after the war on Iraq started.
• the bombings in Britain happened after the war on Iraq started.
• over half the terrorist acts worldwide since 1980 have occurred in Iraq after the war of terror on Iraq started.
• civil liberties have been taken away from people living in countries that made war on Iraq.
• more Americans have died in the war of terror on Iraq than died in the collapse of the Twin Towers.

So really Ari, the question is "How dare you?" How dare you try to justify all the death, murder, and mayhem you and your boss caused? How dare you try to pretend that you old boss wasn't a blood thirsty dictator who is no better than the one he removed in Iraq? How dare you keep trying to re-write history? How dare you show your face among civilized people after all the lies you told to justify us going to war? How dare you and Bush and his cabal of liars and murderers still walk free when you should all be imprisoned and then tried for war crimes and crimes against humanity? How dare you not admit you were wrong and that your boss was the worst possible person to lead this country after the attacks of 9/11? How dare you not succumb to your guilt and not commit suicide?

It's too late for you Ari, history is not judging you and your old boss kindly and it never will.

Don't forget to remember

On this Veterans Day, or Remembrance Day for my Canadians readers, don't forget to remember all the veterans who gave their lives, their limbs, and sometimes their sanity to their country. But while you're at it, don't forget to remember all the Iraqi's and Afghans who have been murdered in this war of terror for oil. And don't forget to remember all the people who got killed, maimed, and or tortured in all those countries where despots and dictators that we supported ruled and still rule. Remember all the people the Contras killed in Nicaragua when Saint Ronnie was President, and keep those folks who Nixon's pal Pinochet killed Chile in your minds on this day of remembering.

And remember that while you have a modicum of freedom and free speech, millions of people in the countries that are allied with us and who do business with us do not. People in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, China, and other countries are not free and we help keep them down due to our addiction to foreign oil and cheap consumer goods.

And finally, remember that bloodthirsty bastards who have been in charge of this country for the past eight years, Bush and Cheney, should be thrown into Gitmo before it's closed or at the very least they should be led from the White House in handcuffs and taken to be tried for their crimes against humanity at The Hague. They are after all responsible for the deaths of thousands of our soldiers and for the murders of hundreds of thousands Iraqi and Afghan citizens.

Not done yet

The news that the Iraqi government has cancelled all the no bid oil contracts with western oil companies means that we'll have to stay in Iraq a lot longer than we previously thought. Oil, after all, is what all this was about so we're not going to ever leave until we have control over it.


Or until we elect someone who will get us out of that Bush McCain led mess.

Sacrifice

Sacrifices must be made in war time.  

Our men and women in the military have sacrificed their lives for our war of terror on Iraq:

We citizens of the USA have sacrificed our civil liberties and our tax dollars for the warwithoutendAmen:
Laura Bush has sacrificed what was left of her drug addled mind to support her insane drunken husband:
Jenna sacrificed her sobriety and her self esteem to support her deranged daddy and her arranged marriage to Karl Rove's ex aide:
But perhaps the biggest sacrifice was made by our Chicken Hawk in Chief:
No, he did not give up drinking.  No, he did not give up listening to the voices in his head that he claims are really his god talking to him.   What our idiot President has sacrificed is his golf game for the war.  He stopped playing golf while the war has been going on.  What a noble compassionate man he is for giving up playing golf so that he can play executioner to millions.  I'm sure the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi dead, the thousands of dead American and British soldiers would rather he had stuck to playing golf and that he had left something as serious as war to those who knew what the fuck they were doing.  I'm sure it's little consolation to the millions of injured and displaced people that he stopped playing golf so he could "focus" on the war.  

Every dead soldier, every dead Iraqi, every family torn apart by his treachery in causing this illegal war and keeping it going with no end in sight all wish that the Democrats in Congress would develop some back bone and move to impeach Bush and Cheney both.  We've got to stop the war this minute and we've got to make sure that warmongering Bush McCain and Hillary Clinton do not get elected to replace our current Abortion in Chief.

Georgie, can you hear me now?

I'm guessing by now you all heard that our Idiot in Chief said in his last press conference that he hadn't heard that gas may hit $4 a gallon soon. He's admitted more than once that he lives in a bubble inside the White House and that he has to rely on his advisers to tell him what's going down, so we shouldn't have been surprised that he didn't have a clue as to what the hell is going down out here in the rest of the country. But it turns out that things are worse than we feared, there are many more things he has not heard about while living inside the White House. And here are just a few of them:

• He hasn't heard that in war you get horrific facial injuries and you get scarred for life.

• He hasn't heard that most homeless people would like to live in a home but they can't afford one.
• He hasn't heard that you can't cut taxes and prosecute an illegal war and expect to balance the budget.
• He hasn't heard that Jenna and Not Jenna have been riding the Twinkie train a tad too much.
• He hasn't heard that the vast majority of Americans incomes have dropped significantly since he's been in office.
• He has not heard that most people in this country want him out of office now.
• He has not heard the latest Billy Bragg CD.
• He hasn't heard that medical care for Iraqi and Afghan children is substandard.
• He hasn't heard that the vast majority of people in this country want the wars on Iraq and Afghanistan to be over this second.
• He has not heard that his war has made us less safe and that our country is now viewed in a negative light across the planet.
• He has not heard that limbs lost in war do not magically grow back.

Hang on, maybe he has heard all that stuff and he's just pretending that he hasn't. Maybe he's heard all that stuff all along and he just doesn't give a shit.

And now, some illustrations defend President Bush

In a recent interview with NBC our Idiot in Chief said that the looming recession was not caused by the war. In fact he said that we were not going to have a recession at all, he then went on to claim that the economic slow down was due to too many houses being built. His remarks drew praise from an unusual source, these 1950's and 60's illustrations. They're all quick to defend Bush. Let's hear them out, shall we?

Mr. Smith the barber says, "He's right. Too many damn houses over here is what is ruining our country. We need to stop building houses over here and build them in Iraq instead."

His customer Timmy said, "I cry myself to sleep every night because my Daddy died in the war of terror."

Comrade Chen said, "Hurry Comrade Lu, there are American bloggers who mock great thinker George Bush. We must go and silence them so that no one notices how much of their economy we control!"

Comrade Lu replies, "Bush must prevail now so that we prevail later! Lead me onward to the sturggle comrade!"

"I've got something for those fancy book learning creeps who mock our President," said Nurse Jones.
Susie says, "My family has learned to love water soup! It's all we can afford thanks to the way our President has handled the economy. We've all lost a lot of weight on this water soup diet, now my mommy isn't a fat cow anymore so now I love her again!"

Mr. Blanchard has this to say, "Being homeless isn't so bad. We lost our house when I went bankrupt after trying to pay Marge's medical bills. We don't miss that old house so much. The important thing is that Blackwater and Halliburton go on making money off the war. We'll find a nice big appliance box, don't worry about us."The Thompson kids want you to know this, "Gee, we hope they don't build any of those dumb economy ruining houses here in this field, we hope they build another mall that sells stuff no one can afford in this field."
And let's give the last word to Mr. Jenkins. "Leave us the hell alone. We've had enough of that mad man, we're rowing to New Zealand! We can't get away from those asshats Bush and Cheney fast enough."

Cub Scout MILF Mom has a story for you

Many moons ago soldiers sent by rich white men flew to a Middle Eastern country inside a giant metal bird.

At first some of the people in the Middle Eastern country kind of liked what the soldiers did for them and they were happy.

But then after the people of the saw that the soldiers were there to take their oil and to enforce the coroprate take over of their ancient and once proud country, they became mad and they decided to fight the soldiers and the multi national corporations.

This story has no ending. It's still going on even if the corporate media doesn't want you to remember all the killing and bombing and torturing that our government is still doing over in Iraq.

It's getting better all the time

The story about the former Republican and St. Reagan appointee who has been indicted for assisting the Islamic terrorists just keeps getting better and better. It seems that he used to employ Debbie Schlussel when he was in Congress. Not familiar with Ms. Schlussel are you? Well dear readers, she's a B list right wing political pundit who pops up on FOX Noise all the time chirping about the Muslim terror threat and how we're in the war of our lives against those non Christian bastards.
That's Debbie in the middle. Compared to the other two she's practically Miss America. But since she used to work for a man who is indicted for aiding terrorists we can now call her a terrorist as well. We really should have had a clue about her leanings years ago, look at this photo I found of her on Google:
Holy crap! Do you see the hatred for our country she has in her eyes? See the way she covers her head in the Muslim fashion? I'll bet she was plotting something as she sat there, the evil freedom hating cow. If I could dig up this photo, which is pretty damming don't you think, with one search on Google Images, then why couldn't the FBI and DHS have found out about her earlier? Why aren't she and her old boss in Gitmo now? Waterboard them both! This is war, we've got to stop coddling these terrorist traitors!

How's that war on terror going now?

If anyone thinks Muslim extremists were behind the assassination of Benazir Bhutto then you probably fell for the line that we have to fight the terrorists over there so we won't have to fight them over here. The powers that be in Pakistan killed her just like they killed her father. And our government stood by and gave their consent.

May the last legally elected leader of Pakistan rest in peace, and may the military/corporate leaders who ordered and carried out her death rot in hell. I'm not sure about you, but I damn sure want those millions of dollars back that we gave Musharaf to fight his war on terror.

"There's no success like failure..."

I was watching BBC World News on my local PBS station last night and they did a story about Gordon Brown visiting Basra province in Iraq and telling his troops that the UK will be turning over control of Basra to the Iraqi's in a couple of weeks. Sprinkled through out the story were the words "failure" and "denial of failure."

If I heard correctly, some people, most likely thugs from the Bush junta, were calling Brown and the British turn over of Basra to the Iraqi's a failure.

Twweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!

Thanks, I will. The whole point of invading Iraq, if you believe what the Idiot in Chief said, was to topple Saddam and bring democracy to the region. They've had several elections and they have a government with a prime minister and Saddam and his cabal of cronies are gone. So what's the point of staying? Won't the Iraqi's have to take care of their own country sooner or later? Sure they will. So if you swallow what Bush and Blair pushed down your throats, then things in Basra been a smashing success! Those Brits did such a bang up job that the area is now safe (or maybe just war weary and tired as hell of being occupied by a foreign power) enough to turn over to the Iraqi's.

Gee Officer, I'd have to agree with you. Maybe we should let the Brits have control of Baghdad and the rest of the country so they can work their magic there as well.

Don't be silly Dr. Monkey, Halliburton, Blackwater USA, and KBR haven't made enough money yet so we can't let the Brits have the rest of Iraq. Why just think what would happen if we did, they'd probably go and allow Iraqi's themselves to rebuild their country and they might let them decide what to do with their oil revenues instead of allowing American oil companies to plunder their profits.

And Bush would like like an even bigger idiot than he did before...
