Are you sure you want this bitch on Chris Matthews show? He is repugnant enough and now you want this harpy on there with him? If I wanted to watch guys sniff her crack for ratings I'd fucking watch FOX.

It's a damn good thing you have this guy on your network.

He's the only reason people tune in anymore and he'd never fucking let that hag on his show. So do us all a favor and follow his lead.

On Anger

There has been much ado made this week over the so called "anger" of the left. Right wing flacks like Thomas Sowell, who it must be remembered is a black man who directly benefited from Affirmative Action, the same Affirmative Action that he now wants to dismantle, and Ann Coulter, who just wrote this about the late Jerry Falwell, "Falwell was a perfected Christian. He exuded Christian love for all men, hating sin while loving sinners. This is as opposed to liberals, who just love sinners," decry anything out of the mouths, pens, or the blogs of left leaning people as "angry rants" and therefore not worthy of anyone's attention.


In some cases, yes, people on the left are angry. And they have every right to be angry. They have been marginalized for years by the right wingers who control the Presidency, the media, and the Supreme Court, and until recently, the Congress. They've been attacked for the beliefs and told that they are out of touch with the mainstream of America.

However in most cases what the hacks on the right are mistaking for anger is merely people speaking the truth.

• The truth is most people in this country favor a more equitable system of government.
• They favor having a media not controlled by multi national corporations.
• Most people in this country want our government to stop denying that climate change is taking place, to stop denying that humans are not the cause of the change, and to do something to stop oil companies and multi nationals from ruining the planet.
• Most people in this country want a health care system that cares for of all Americans, not just the rich who have good insurance.
• Most people in this country want fair treatment for all, not just fairness for white heterosexual Christians.
• Most people in this country want sane gun laws that will prevent things like the VA Tech massacre from happening again.
• Most people in this country want the people we elect to national office to govern in the interests of all people, not just the rich people who helped put them in power.
• Most of the people in this country want our leaders to be taken seriously abroad, not mocked and laughed at as the current regime is.
• Most people in this country do not want the administration in power to protect the lawbreakers in their midst, keep plainly unqualified people in positions of power, and to not try to stop people from exercising their right to vote.
• Most Americans want a our nationally elected officials to bring us together, not to divide us on artificial issues.

So what we've got then is a government that ignores what most Americans want and a media that covers up for them. So, of course, when the people speak out against the government that is doing things against the will of the people, those on the right will deride them as "angry nuts." Those who support the tactics and policies of the current administration, the politics of fear and divisiveness, will of course deride their detractors as being "angry liberals."

But when it comes down to it Tom and Ann, we're not angry, we're frustrated with the utter contempt that you and your President treat us with. We're frustrated with the refusal of the White House to lead. We're frustrated with the death and killing done in our name in Iraq and we want the wars to end. We're frustrated with the media that gives platforms to people like you two and that gives BushCheneyExxonMobilShellMicrosoftWal-Mart a pass on their crimes.

We're frustrated and we're going to do something about it and that scares the hell out of you and that is why you call us angry. We're past angry Ann, we're in full throttle throw the fucking global warming denying, gay hating, multi national corporation loving, war mongering, bastards out mode.

Oh and one final thing Ann, if Falwell was a "perfected Christian," then us simians here at Monkey Muck HQ are happy beyond words that we are not believers. And Ann hon, that was not love that was exuding from Falwell, when he was alive, it was gas, when you learn the difference between the two you will be a lot happier.

Mr. Moyers, on behalf of all of the people who watched your brilliant documentary on the lack of journalistic oversight of the current administration during the run up to war PBS last night, thank you. Please don't ever go away again.

Seriously, you are the only news person we trust. Well, okay you, Bob Simon, the two reporters who were with Knight Ridder who knew the pre-war journalism was all wrong, and Bill Moyers.
Okay, okay, we dig those gals over at CNN International as well. Oh yeah, and some of the BBC World News correspondents too.

But you Keith, you are the only one we love, in a platonic way of course. Not that we have a little man crush on you or anything. It's not like you didn't used to anchor one of our favorite shows, ESPN Sports Center, with Dan "Is my hair perfect" Patrick and you never hesitate to stick a finger in the man's eye when needed or you don't bite the hand that feeds you if they piss you off. Nah, we'd never have a man crush on a guy like that.
