More corporate media driven chicanery

First the media cried he couldn't beat Hillary in the primaries and look how that turned out.

Then they wailed he couldn't keep female voters from bolting to Bush McCain, turns out they were mistaken about that too.

Now they're saying that whites won't really vote for him in November. Speaking as a white guy who is whiter than white, in fact I'm almost albino, my only regret is that I can only vote for him once.

The point, my people, is that the media has to have something to report, they need a controversy to keep them going. And just like in those first two cases, they're wrong about this one as well. Not only are whites going to vote for him, we're going to vote for him in overwhelming numbers, just like black people are, just like Hispanic people are, just like gay and lesbian people are.

I found out early voting here in my county in TN starts Oct. 15th and I'll be there with bells on ready to vote for Obama/Biden.

But enough from me, let's give the last word to our next President of the United States. Say, Sen. Obama, how much of the bilge that the corporate media spews do you think we should believe?
Dang, that much huh. Well, if you say so sir.

The corporate media antidote to bloggers

It's called the "truth-o-scope" and it makes you forget all about the stories that they don't want to cover. It makes you focus only on what they want you to know and after hours and hours of being bombarded by this device you have a desire to stop thinking for yourself, an enormous hunger for Cheetos, and an unholy lust for Joe Scarborough. It's rumored to work especially well on gullible right wing voters who are easily scared and just as easily duped by idiot politicians.

Bust out the Ouija board because I'm about to get all psychic on your asses

I predict that Bush McCain will say the following things in the future:

  1. "Yes, I lost the election but you know what? I never lost any elections when I was a prisoner of war."
  2. "Honey of course I let her give me a hand job. It's not like I got any hand jobs when I was a prisoner of war."
  3. "I don't use email because we didn't use email when I was a prisoner of war."
  4. "Okay, I called my wife a cunt but I never called her a cunt when I was a prisoner of war."
  5. "I ran over that Mexican pool boy on my way over here but it's okay because I ran over people when I was a prisoner of war."
  6. "I was a prisoner of war when I was a prisoner of war so lay off me okay?"
  7. "My favorite TV show when I was a prisoner of war was The Prisoner."
  8. "There were no uppity Negroes with aspirations of being President when I was a prisoner of war, so anything I might say that is offensive to that colored boy with the big ears is excused because guess what? I was a prisoner of war."
  9. "I stiffed that waitress because I need the money I would have tipped her to make a mortgage payment on one of my homes and because I was a prisoner of war."
  10. "It was supposed to be my time to be President because I've been a loyal Republican ever since I was a prisoner of war and because I used to be a prisoner of war."

The correct choice

Here's why Obama's choice of Joe Biden was the right one, even though he was not my personal choice:
  • My choice was Gov. Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas. But if he had picked her then the Republican hate machine would have spewed out the "Holy shit, that damn dirty negro is defiling that white woman!" line of bullshit for the next few months.
  • If he had picked someone to the left of himself then they would have kept harping on the "He's a socialist!" angle.
  • If he had picked a black woman or black man it would have been political suicide. We are ready for one African American on the national ticket, not two.
  • If he had picked Hillary then he would have had to deal with Hillary and Bill's baggage.
  • The choice of Biden, a corporate Democrat who's an insider, sends a message to Wall Street and corporate America that things under an Obama presidency are going to be like they were under Bill Clinton's. And while I despise most everything about Wall Street, corporate America, and big business, a signal like this needed to be sent to calm fears about his "socialism."
  • Biden also covers Obama's perceived "weakness" in foreign policy and defense.
  • Biden's "advanced" age balances Obama's "youthfulness."
  • Biden is the man who kept the most dangerous Republican Supreme Court nominee, Robert Bork, off the Supreme Court. That one fact alone should earn him the gratitude of all progressives everywhere.

As for all the bitching, pissing, and moaning from the various camps within the Democratic party about how bad a choice this is, I would like to remind you all that in the end this is a race that Obama wants to win, it's not some noble exercise in civics and race relations. Sen. Obama was not my first choice, but he turned out to be the best choice, just as Biden was not my first choice to be his veep but he has turned out to be his best choice.

So now it's time to head to the convention and to make history and then take back the White House. And it's time for all true Democrats to get in line and work to get our candidates elected. It's time to stop whining, to grow up and smell the coffee, and to get the Obama/Biden ticket elected in November. But if you're one of those bitter people who are clinging to the wreckage of the Hillary campaign and who plan on voting for McCain just so you can show us all a thing or two about a thing or two, then to you I say, take your Bush McCain vote and your PUMA merchandise and shove them up your you know where.

Speaking of the convention, here's a photo of my young friend Cameron, that's him on the left, holding a cool T shirt out in Denver. He and his brother Quinn are out in the Denver area with their parents for a few days, they're taking in an outsider art exhibition that focuses on art about Obama and his impact on America.

And yes ladies, Cameron is "available."

Let's try an experiment

The right wing is very good at disseminating their lies about Obama through email so I say let's take a page out of their books and come up with an outrageous email that left wing people can send out to their friends and to people on the right. Here's one that you can cut and paste:

Wow.

This is amazing!

Did you know that when John McCain was a POW in Vietnam he spilled his guts under pressure? He claims that when asked to give the names of the men in his squadron he gave the Commies the names of the Green Bay Packers. But recently he said it was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Which is it? The Packers or the Steelers?

Or is this bigger than they will admit?

Sources in the military intelligence community say this could be a case of brainwashing. They claim that McCain could have been brainwashed into being a spy for the Vietnamese and their pals the Commies in Red China and that he'll deliver then all our state secrets as soon as he's sworn in. Think about it. It all makes sense. His backers in business and industry are already doing big business in China and they are now dependant on the Chinese government to keep their cost of doing business low and to supply them with a steady stream of workers. Big business then turns around and gives money to McCain. When, or should I say if, he takes the oath of office he'll be doing it on a Bible that's been made in China and then the floodgates will open and the Chinese will have free reign over not just our businesses but also our military, the CIA, the FBI, and everything else.

Spread the word that if we all want to keep America free we need to vote for Barack Obama and not for the tool of the Communists, John McCain.

Send this out to anybody and everybody and if you get it in your inbox then forward it along again. Let's see how far this will go and if the corporate media picks it up.

Too good not to steal

I found this on one of my new blog discoveries, 2 Political Junkies, today. It's a rejected New Yorker cover.

I love the portrait of Ho Chi Minh and the pill bottle at Cruella DeVille's feet.

Other things Bush McCain will give you money for

Bush McCain announced he'd give a $300 million dollar prize to anyone who invents a better car battery if he is elected. Later his campaign announced that you can get the following amounts of cash for some other things:
  • $35 if you invent a way to stop him from calling his wife a cunt again
  • $250,000,000 if you come up with a way for him to divorce his wife and marry you (offer only open to rich right wing women)
  • $1.40 if you figure out how to work his TV remote control contraption
  • $75 is yours when you work out a way he can stop being caught flip flopping on issues
  • $1,000,000 if you figure out a way for Jesus's daddy to get his daughter pregnant with the new messiah
  • $15,000,000 if you come up with a solid plan to get him out of his deal to sell his soul to the devil in order to get elected President (he must still win the election, just no soul selling to ol' Scratch)
  • $2 if you can get him a good tug job without the media finding out about it (happy ending must be included)
  • $347.93 if you invent a aftershave that successfully masks his "old man" smell
  • $98.12 if you can figure out how to make those damn kids stay off his dang lawn and turn that noise down
  • .02 for your opinion
  • $25 if you can make that light stop blinking on his VCR
  • Name your price for anything having to do with keeping the Iraq war going (Halliburton, KBR, Blackwater, and Amway only need apply)
  • $17 if you can get Traitor Joe and Little Lord Lindsay's lips removed from his asshole long enough for him to have a proper shit

McCain's minister

Since the corporate media won't tell you this, I will:
Unlike Sen. Obama, who never sought out the endorsement of his old pastor, Bush McCain actively sought out the endorsement of the hateful bag of religious pus in the above photo, so it's fair to John Hagee is McCain's minister.  Now, let's remember some of the things that McCain's minister has said and that he believes:
Now you tell me, which minister is more of a nut job, the one who wants to trigger a nuclear war so his saviour can come back and wipe all of us non believers out and send us to hell so they can have the earth and everything on it, or the one who has had the gall to speak up for his oppressed flock and talk openly about the terror and injustice that the USA has inflicted on so many people all over the world?  If you picked the raging right wing homophobe from Texas then you win.
