...because he loves caving in. Seriously, he's caved on not closing Gitmo, extending the Bush tax cuts, keeping the Bush era secrecy laws in place, and keeping the Patriot Act going (which he swore he'd change once he got elected).

So we're supposed to be grateful that President Obummer didn't let them defund Planned Parenthood. Big fuckin' whoop.

While he may momentarily grown a spine and stiffened it in order to save Planned Parenthood from the chopping block, he's still agreed to cuts that he didn't need to agree to in an effort to get the radical right to like him. He's like the needy kid on the playground who will do anything he can to get others to play with him.

And he's already signaled that he's willing to accept cuts in Medicaid and Medicare. So, honestly, fuck him. And fuck you if you think he's on the side of working people, of poor people, of progressives and liberals. He didn't put up a fight on extending the Bush tax cuts which cost us about $150 million a year in revenue (I could be wrong on that figure, they're probably costing us much more than that), and he gave up more ground on social programs and Pell grants. So yeah, fuck him.

And fuck him on the ongoing torture of Bradley Manning, who by the way has not been tried and convicted of anything, not in a civil court, not in a military court. Yo, Obummer, where's the return of our civil liberties that you promised?

Obummer announced his re-election yesterday. I hope he does well with that and I hope he finds a bunch of other saps to vote for him because I'm sure as hell not going to vote for him again.

He's lied, he's made fools of us, and he's pissed all over his base in the name of being bipartisan in the hopes of getting Republicans to vote for his policies. He's lost me forever. I'm voting Green or socialist or writing in Kucinich/Feingold in 2012. I've remained a progressive liberal, the liar in chief hasn't. He's a tool of big business and the war machine. And I refuse to vote for him again.

There's no need for anyone to leave me a comment telling me that by not voting for him I'm helping to elect a Republican, because that's just bullshit. And if you're one of those liberals who feels that you still must vote for him because you're afraid of what might happen if you don't then don't bother commenting on this post either. Use your own blog to justify your irrational fear and your love for a man who is anything but a liberal. If I wanted a Republican in the oval office, I'd vote for one. There's no need for me to vote for a Republican in Democrats clothing.

I'll not hold my nose and for the war loving class traitor in chief. Instead I'll hold my head high and vote for a left wing candidate who is actually on my side.

...the multinational corporation.

Since they can now spend whatever they like on elections, they spent like crazy to get their chosen candidates elected. They chose to demonize the candidates who might dare oppose or regulate them and they used fear based advertising to make their opponents lose. And it worked.

How fucked up is it that a corporation can spend an unlimited amount of money to influence the outcome of a political race but you and I are only allowed to give up to $1000? It's pretty fucked up. It's also pretty fucked up that corporations are 'people' and that money is considered 'speech.'

Multi-national corporations bought and paid for this Republican led Congress and they'll get to write the laws in it. So if you think that they've stacked the deck in their favor now, you ain't seen nothin' yet. BP will get off without even a slap on the wrist for destroying the Gulf of Mexico, big pharma will kill with impunity now, the FDA and the EPA will be defunded, and war and defense related businesses will boom. All that wasteful spending on the social safety net will be redirected into the pockets of defense contractors, oil companies, and media corporations.

Corporate America won last night and you and I are about to be screwed over yet again. They won, we lost. Look for them to pay less taxes, be less regulated, and to gain more power over our lives. And sadly, look for the spineless Democrats led by Tim Kaine and President Obummer to move further to the right.

I have a message for the Democratic party

You idiots are beyond the pale. You don't repeal DADT, you don't repeal the parts of the Patriot Act that are clearly unpatriotic, you keep the wars of terror going forever, you caved on heatlh care reform, you keep the worst aspects of the Bush/Cheney secrecy policies going, you want to gut the FCC's ability to oversee net neutrality, and then you have the gall to tell us to stop whining?

Nah, fuck you. Tell you assholes what I will stop though, I'll stop voting for you, except for whoever runs against my local asshole Republican member of the House of Representatives.

Up yours Joe Biden, Henry Waxman, Nancy Pelosi, and especially you Mr. Mealy Mouth Milquetoast Harry Reid. Go away Barack Obama, when we needed FDR, you gave us Herbert Hoover. Biden keeps telling us that we have to vote Democrat because if we don't then the Republican Tea party will be worse than the Democrats ever were.
