Who's swagging me now?

My old buddy from college Yvonne is swagging me now. She sent me this little art piece that I'm going to frame and hang in my home office. You really can't fully appreciate how cool this piece is because my scanner did not pick up all the nuances and material thatthe artist put into it. Nonetheless, thanks a million Yvonne! You're the best!

Swag Report

The incomparable Missy from the frozen wasteland that is Minnesota sent me some swag! She sent me this cool card with a Spock Monkey on it:
And inside that card was this button:
Yay! Yay Missy! Thanks for not getting arrested during the Republican convention and for thinking of yours truly. Thanks for the card and the button. As Elvis Costello says, "I'll wear it proudly."

Once again a maiden from the frozen north has showered me with swag. The rest of you in other parts of the country needs to ask yourselves, "Why have I been so selfish? Why have I not given Monkey a token of my affection? He does so much for me, why can't I do something nice for him?"

Who's swagging me now?

Pirate Queen, blogger extraordinaire, and Tom Jones's number 1 Canadian fan, Captain Karen is swagging me now! She sent me a petit paquet via par avion! (That's small packet via air mail to you philistines.) And she sent it to me in spite of the fact that I often dress myself in clashing plaids. Case in point, I wore this blue plaid shirt with these green plaid shorts today: Anyhoo, this is what came in my package from north of the border: a travel pack of tissue with a cute monkey on it, a little plush monkey with stretchy rubbery arms, which I can do things like this with. Also in the prize pack was this little toy set: My bad photography skills prevent you from seeing the winged monkeys in the bottom left corner, so you'll have to trust me when I tell you how cool they look. She also sent a bar of super good quality chocolate with a chimp on it but unfortunately since the temps are in the high 70's to low 80's here and the sun is out in full force it was all melty by the time I got it out of the petit paquet. But like all smart commanders of ships that sail the high seas, Capt. Karen planned ahead, she put the candy bar in a little sealed plastic baggy. Said bar and bag are now residing in my freezer and hopefully I'll be able to have a nibble off it soon.

Many thanks to you my nautical liege Captain Karen for being so thoughtful, generous, and sweet. I'll be returning the favor soon.

On a side note, I lived for 45 years on this planet and I never ever got any mail or packages from anyone outside of this country. But now since I've made so many great and kind friends through my blog, I've gotten all kinds of mail and neat gifts from some wonderfully nice and beautiful women in Canada. And to be fair, I've gotten some great fun stuff from swell folks here in the USA too. I always wanted a pen pal from a far away place when I was a kid and now that I have a blog I've got a ton of them.

Belated swag update

I admit it, I'm a cad. I forgot to update you all on the swag I received from a certain white hot hockey ho last week. That's right kids, my running mate the lovely Kristi Love sent me some swag from her mounatin lair in Colorado.
She sent me a pack of Monkey Mints, that's them on the far left, a monkey in a fez pencil topper, and the neat-o keen monkey picture.

Before I consigned the pencil topper to a life of having a pencil up it's butt I let him sit on top of the computer for a few days.

It turns out he didn't like heights so I took him down and now he's just sitting on the desk of yours truly.

Thanks for all the great swag Kristi! You rock girl.

Swag update

I got some new swag from some of my dear readers! Woo hoo! Who loves me baby? Beautiful women north of the Mason Dixon line that's who!

The lovely Tanya Espanya sent me an envelope full of swag and I got it today. The Tanya prize pack included this photo of her and her handsome hubby having a cocktail while baby Alexander is left unattended.
She also sent me little packet of green tea.

And this keen note pad!The milk chocolate candy bar you sent broke a bit but it seems to be okay. Since I can no longer eat chocolate bars Sparky will enjoy the one you sent Tanya. Thanks for all the neat stuff!

I also got swag from a lovely lady in Wisconsin. The Quaker vixen Suzy gifted me with this fun monkey sticker:And she sent me her holiday catch up letter and included in that letter were photos of her, her husband Ed, and her beautiful daughters. Oh yeah, I nearly forgot, she also sent me a sign photo of The Motor Primitives, my official house band and you can see it on the sidebar. Thanks for all the keen stuff Suzy!

So if you're keeping score at home, I've gotten swag from two Canadian hotties (Barbara and Tanya) and one Quaker vixen. The rest of you have a long way to go to catch up to this group of women who I am now going to refer to as Monkey's Angels.

The swag just keeps rolling in

Not only did Barbara send me two CD's, she also sent me a nice note on a great looking card. I guess being nice does pay off some times! Thanks for the great swag Barbara!

The rest of you need to step up and swag my monkey ass. (But only if you really want to, seriously, I'm just kidding, there's no pressure to send me stuff. But honestly, would it kill you to send me something nice?)

Why yes, I'd love some swag. Thank you very much!

A blog buddy of mine who shall remain nameless made these and sent them to me so I don't burn my fingers when I do all those cooking posts for you people out there in blogland. Aren't they the greatest looking pot holders ever?

Now, what swag are the rest of you prepared to send me?
