Storm of the century of the week

It started out as rain yesterday morning and then by noonish yesterday big wet flakes began mixing in. By three o'clock it had changed to all snow and it started to stick. By three thirty it was evident that things were going down hill weather wise. It snowed all night and many highways were closed.

Thank goodness our power only went off a time or two and only for a moment or two. Some of our friends in out lying counties will be without power for a few days.

I got out yesterday afternoon and went to the grocery store and I laid in the necessary provisions so we're good to go. I hope all of you in the path of this storm are safe and warm. We ended up with about 11 inches of snow and it's still spitting as I write this.

By the way, if any of you decide to leave me a comment telling me something along the lines of 11 inches of snow is nothing or that the weather where you live is worse, then I'm going to delete it and I'm going to seriously consider revoking your comment privileges for good. When you leave comments saying shit like that what you are saying, whether you realize it or not is, "Your experience is shit compared to mine." I had to put up with that shit growing up and I'm not about to put up with it on my blog.

Somebody got some snow last night

And if you guessed that that somebody was me, you'd be correct. It snowed about a quarter inch here last night. It'll probably be all melted off by 10 AM but it looked nice while it lasted.

I'm hoping we get some more measurable snow falls here this year. It used to snow four or five times a winter here but for the past 4 or 5 years it hasn't hardly snowed a bit. I like a little snow and a little cold and then by the middle of February I like it to be all gone. That's just how I rolls my peeps.

Today's question comes to us from Mathman. He wants to know: What is that white stuff that keeps falling from the Georgia sky?

Well Mathman since I don't live near you and since I haven't been around your house, really I haven't, I don't care what that busy body Gladys Kravitz says, I'll have to use all my monkey powers of deduction on this one. And also the process of elimination as well. We invented that you know, the process of elimination.

Since I have no heard of any airplane crashes near your home, I'm going to eliminate the possibility of debris and bricks of cocaine being the "white stuff" that is falling around you.

I doubt you live near a large body of water so I'll eliminate the possibility of the "white stuff" being Caucasian thrill seekers jumping into said large body of water.

There must not be any large chicken processing plant near you or you or your lovely wife would have written about it before now, so we can safely eliminate the "white stuff" as being chicken feathers.

So, most likely the white stuff that is falling from the sky is snow. Yes, it still falls in parts of the south but do not be alarmed because generally if you made it to Valentines day without a major snow fall in your area, you are home free and winter sould be over in a matter of days for you. Things will then start to warm up and flowers and trees will start to bloom and come back to life. After that happens you can feel free to call, write, and email your friends and family back in the Midwest and say, "Nyah, nyah, nyah, it's spring time here! No more snow for us! Enjoy the last few months of winter in your frozen hell you suckers!"

It's snowing!

And wouldn't you know it, I left my camera in my truck and if I go outside now I'll wake Sparky up and she'll be pissed. So you'll have to settle for this picture I got off Google.
I'm taking some snow photos in the morning though, if it doesn't all melt off that is. Snow all night you crazy snow!
