Still here

Here we are with another World AIDS Day on our hands. HIV/AIDS is still with us. We're still battling it and we're still battling the Christian and Muslim idiots who don't want people to use condoms. We're still battling the prejudice that surrounds HIV/AIDS and we're still living with the idea that HIV/AIDS is a gay disease and or that it was brought on by gays.
We're still pouring money into stupid useless wars, church coffers, and corporate bank accounts rather than using all that money to find a cure for this horrible disease that took my brother and my friend Scott.

I fucking hate it that we've got our priorities out of whack so much that we're pissing money away on stupid shit like war and making the Pope even richer instead of using it to cure HIV/AIDS. I also hate it that we haven't been able to label this day Victory Over HIV/AIDS Day yet.

Wouldn't a Victory Over HIV/AIDS Day be something?

Great post Monkey and I agree entirely-Religious leaders that tell people NOT to protect themselves are responsible for millions of deaths worldwide!

I am so sorry to hear about your brother and hope we reach a cure soon!
