No go

It would be nice if President Obama could get people like Sen. Grassley, seen here inviting Capitol Hill visitors to sniff the end of his cane after his date last night,
and Rep. Michelle Bachmann (R-Crazytown), seen here giving a speech on the floor of the House,
on board with health care reform but it's no use. The Republican party has been against every social program that has ever come up, they opposed Medicare, they opposed Social Security, they opposed all the New Deal programs, they opposed workplace safety rules, they opposed Workmen's Comp. legislation, they opposed labor unions, and they opposed child labor laws. So in short Republicans if there has been a law passed and a program created that helps a great number of people, then the Republicans have opposed it.

So it's time to cut them loose and do the right thing on health care. It's time to go even further than the President wants, it's time to go even further then the current bill in the House of Reps wants to go, it's time to go the single payer national health insurance for all route. And if we don't get it, then we need to find ways to bleed the system dry and to bankrupt it until we get what we want.

They've got 6 lobbyists for every member of Congress on their side. They've got billions of dollars to spend to keep the current corrupt system in place. All you and me have is each other. The deck and the odds are stacked against us, but I still think we can pull this thing off.

What I find so amazing is I never hear about the Republicans who think Social Security, Medicare, and Workman's Comp are so awful forgoing these programs.

Just ONCE I'd like a GOPer to put their money where their mouth is and say "I hate these programs, so I'm not going to take Social Security, I'll buy my own health insurance in my old age, and if I get hurt on the job, I'll pay for it with my personally funded health insurance and not Workman's Comp." It would really give their argument so much more credibility. But why take some real action when you can just bitch about something, I guess.

Let me try this AGAIN--you can't talk to a psycho like a normal human being some chick sang a few years back and it is as true now as it was then.

Republicans are against everything EXCEPT WAR!
