It took his stupid ass eight years but he finally got one thing right, he's going to go down in history as the worst President ever.
But on the other hand it's kind of sad to watch him scramble to save his poisonous legacy now. He's blaming everyone else for his bad job. He now claims that everyone else had the same bad pre-war intelligence that he had. But as usual, he's wrong. Only he and Dick Cheney and their cast of Quislings and toadies came up with the wild fantasy that Saddam Hussein had WMDs. Hans Blix, Scott Ritter, and the world press knew Iraq was a toothless tiger with no WMDs. Yet Bush came up with a preposterous, and possibly illegal, "doctrine" of preventative war to justify his invasion and occupation of a sovereign nation.
He's also trying to wash his hands of the economic mess his free market lassiez faire policy of deregulation at all costs has wrought. He's saying that the current financial meltdown was caused by policies that were in place a decade before he got the US Supreme Court to appoint him Commander in Chief in the year 2000. Let's do the math now shall we? Who was President a decade before W Bush managed to hoodwink his way to the oval office? Wait for it, wait for it, it was his daddy! You remember the first President Bush don't you? He was the one who didn't do the job in Iraq properly so his son had to go and invade them and in doing so he made us all less safe. So since he finished his daddy's work in Iraq, we can safely assume that he also finished his daddy's work in ruining our economy.
But history will show that
- Bush the younger took us into two wars and fought both badly because he learned nothing from the Viet Nam war. He should have learned that you can't send in 20th century army to defeat a small guerrilla movement but he didn't learn that lesson because he was too busy getting drunk and shirking his duty in the Texas Air Guard or where ever it was he sat out the Viet Nam war.
- Bush the younger pissed away the budget surplus that it took a Democratic President to achieve after years of wasteful Republican President's and their deficit spending.
- Bush the younger did not keep this country safe, after all 9/11 took place under his watch and he was warned that it would happen.
- his record of malfeasance in government oversight, remember all the cases of e coli poisonings, the mine cave ins, the lead paint on toys, etc, will most likely never be matched by another President.
- he ruled not by consensus, but by fear and division.
It's going to take years to undo the damage that idiot caused and if there was any justice in this country we'd all get the chance to sue him and his cronies for all the damage they've caused us. And if they'd let us stone him after he steps down, maybe then I'd pity the poor idiot and I'd show him the mercy he never showed the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis and Afghans. Or maybe not.

you are a better person than I if you even think you would pity him --- as much as i want him to go to prison in shackles and never see the light of day again, i would take just him going away.
sadly the damage this complete waste of human cells has done can never be totally undone.
the "revisionist" history tour will continue unabated for the next 47 days - as the media - like the fucker named Joe Scarborough - will help him along and continue to say that history WILL be kind to bush.
the only thing that will be kind to bush is, well there is nothing that will be kind to former president douchebag.
An editorial cartoon in Sunday's JC Press was called "Obama's $700 Billion Bail-out", like it was him who created the mess and then swept an arm across the table to clear it off.
I have NO pity for "W". With all the checks and balances we supposedly have in government, he managed to circumvent them all - utilizing "executive power." And his comrades are going to escape justice as well. He should have been impeached awhile ago - I would have supported that choice (also Cheney!)
I pity him in the same way I would pity a Down Syndrome child whom other children are making fun of. Bush is retarded and probably thinks he was doing the right things. Now he's probably all weepy and upset that people are being mean to him. Poor baby!
The people I'm really, really mad at are the idiots who voted him back into office for a second term of brainless destruction of our formerly great country.
I wish I could take a page from Obama's book and forget and forgive, but in this case I just can't. My farewell words to him are, Fuck you, you son of a bitch. May you reap a million times what you have sown.
Sorry about the monkey butt crack in my post today. Look at that would you. I used monkey butt and crack in the same sentence. I should get extra credit for that alone.
Pop-No apology necessary. My remark was meant in jest.
and he's doing as much damage as he can before he leaves. especially to reproductive rights!
He can blow me.
monkey, butt and crack. sounds like GW...
I will never ever forgive him, but would very much like to forget him. He's a mean frat boy - the kind that gets the fat girl drunk then makes fun of her. He should serve jail time for treason.
He can take his "I'm sorry" and shove it up his spoiled rich ass.
I do hope that the American people can get some kind of compensation for 8 years of this idiot's rule.
Success is the best revenge. If in eight years we can scoop all the poop he left behind, we'll show him we aren't as pathetic as he thinks we are.
