Perfect

Today's classic country clip is one of the most perfect examples of the genre I've ever seen. It's got Marty Robbins in a great western looking suit, he's singing a great song, and it's got chicks sitting around on hay bales looking adoringly at him. Ahhhh, what way to start the week.

When I was five, I thought he was cute. I was right. It's that suit I tell you. And those crinkly eyes.

I can't decide which is my favorite: this one or "Ribbon of Darkness". Mmmm mmm good!

I don't remember him being so dreamy.

And not for nothing, but from the few pictures I've seen of Bubs, I'd say he's a dead ringer for one of those guys in the back on rhythm guitar.

He has always been one of my favorites musically, and we share a birthplace: Glendale, Arizona. I met him twice, when I was a toddler he picked me up and carried me around on stage. Then when I was a teenager my mother and I met him again, and she asked Marty if he remembered carrying me on stage... and of course he said yes (he was very polite). Only your mother can embarrass you like that.

I love that song you picked and Big Iron the best, I think.
