No thanks, I'd rather starve.

But they're FANCY!

You know, fresh beets, roated in the oven (you roaste em for about 45 minutes or so, then rub them with a paper towel, and the skins come right off) are really quite delicous. A mix of red and golden look lovely on a plate, and the roasting intensifies the natural sugars.

Canned ones make me sick.

When I think of beets I always think of the "Giligan's Island" episode where Mary Ann eats radioactive beets and acts like a speed freak, Gilligan eats radioactive spinach and gets super strong, and somebody eats radioactive carrots and had super-vision. Thank god for radioactive vegetables!

UberMILF-It doesn't matter. I will never ever eat a beet.

Devilham-I'll take your word for it because I will never ever eat a beet. Ever. No matter what.

Dr. Z-Hmmm, maybe if I could ingest a radioactive potato, oh crap, I think I just did.

I wonder where this beet intolerance comes from. You should love all root vegetables equally.

Love a potato, love a beet.

I love beets. Potatoes, whatever...

Are you kidding me? Canned beets are the best thing: no red paws, no blood-like splatters all over the stove. Course you have to actually like beets.
