Not Quite a Review

It's almost two in the morning here at el Casa de Monkey and I'm too tired to write A League of Mullets Movie Review of this movie:
But what I will tell you is this, this picture is almost a perfect film. It's cute, funny, warm, uplifting, had great performances, well shot, well directed, well edited. I love this movie and I bought it at Target the other day for five bucks. Because it has two Christmas scenes in it, I'm putting it in my holiday rotation DVDs along with the Christmas episodes of Father Ted and the Vicar of Dibley.

I could not agree more. It was panned when it came out, but my undying love for things Hornsby and the fact that Toni Collette is one of the best actresses of our time, propelled me into the theater.

Loved it then - love it now - have it on CD.

As the Brits would say "its brill!". I love when the kid is singing along to the rapper Mystikal. Very cute.

Once more we are in agreement. If we could only get over some of our pesky theological difference. However, that is what makes things interesting.

So don't you ever change Monkey!

One of my favorites. It's on the list of movies that I'll sit and watch over and over.

I actually didn't know about it when it was released, but then in the summer of 2002, I had to take a bunch of plane trips criss-crossing the country. On three of those flights, I saw this movie.

After hearing me talk about the movie, the family finally got the DVD. We pull it out and watch about every six months.

Fran-Ummm, if oyu look atthe reviews quoted on the picture I put up then you may come to the conclusion that it got pretty good reviews when it came out.

D Cup-Us too. Thats why I went ahead and bought it when I saw it for 5 bucks. This one will go into our heavy rotation DVD as well, along with the two Britcoms I mention in the post. We are not religious but we love religious comedies.

Oh Monkey - you and that whole "truth" and "accuracy" thing. Sheesh, you are killing me.

It must have been that stone cold hatin' liberal NY Times or some other local rag that bemoaned it.

Whatever, at my age, you expect me to remember such things?

How like you to bring up divisive things instead of uniting things.

You are the Divider!
