Welcome to the World Baby Cheney!

Mary Cheney and her partner celebrated the birth of their child today. Mary, the Vice President's daughter, gave birth to a healthy baby boy.

The young lad, seen here enjoying one of the many gifts sent to the happy couple by well wishers at Focus on the Family, was born healthy and he appears to be poised to follow in his grandfather's footsteps.

The little bundle of joy also appears to have mastered the Cheney sneer of contempt for anyone not rich, white, or Jeebus loving.

He seems to be a chip off the ol' Cheney block. Rumor has it that the sprite has already said that he will never serve in any wars, but that he would gladly profit from any conflict the USA may be in at the time. Ahhh, the apple never falls far from the tree.

When Mary's life partner, Heather Poe, was informed that she had no legal rights whatsoever over the child, she remained upbeat and said she loved the child nonetheless. She was then shoved into a closet by family friend Rev. Pat Robertson. Ms. Poe will remain there until she renounces her sexuality and promises never to touch the baby or been seen in public with any member of the Cheney family again.

The Cheney's report that some nice folks from the Identity Christian Church sent some books and lovely gifts for the baby.

The family said that mother Mary and baby Damien were both resting comfortably. What a blessed event, what a happy day, what a family!.

But we here at Monkey Muck HQ would like to know, what about all the other lesbian couples who are locked out of adopting children? What about all the other gay couples who can not marry? What about all the gays and lesbians who live in the USA and are not afforded the same rights and protections that Mary and Heather enjoy?
