Priorities

Regular readers of this blog will notice that I just don't blog as much as I used to.  Facebook is partly to blame, it's easier to stay in touch with my social circle and far flung friends via that website.  Also in May and half of June I had to ride herd on the shitty contractor who did our bathroom remodel, more about that ordeal in a later blog post.  But the real time sucker had been the ongoing torment of caring for Sparky's aging sickly parents.  Her dad had the toes on his left foot amputated in March after they reopened his arteries and got the blood in his left leg flowing again. He spent months in the hospital and a rehab hospital and during all that time his wife who is dealing with her declining health issues had to be looked after and helped.  Then the day came they both rejoiced in but we dreaded, the day they sent him home.  It was a great day for him but it presented us, Sparky, her sister, and myself, with a myriad of problems that we're still dealing with today.  Her folks require someone to be with them 24 hours a day, if only to make sure her dad doesn't fall and hit his head or break a bone.  Her mom has short term memory problems and has OCD issues about certain things.  We've been stretched to the breaking point and we're all ready to go nuts and throw the towel in, and before some well intentioned reader asks, YES WE HAVE POWER OF ATTORNEY.  But we've been reluctant to invoke anything too life changing for them because we wanted them to be able to enjoy living their last days in their own home.  But that may have to change because we've all hit the wall and we're exhausted mentally and physically.  And that's why I haven't been blogging much.  When I get home and don't have to chase after or help care for her folks, then I'm usually too tired to blog and all I want to do is to veg out on Netflix or make some art.  

I have no idea how this is all going to play out and I have no idea when I'll be blogging regularly again.  Deal with it.

What are today's active senior citizens up to?

Today's senior citizens don't just smell like stale piss, vote Republican, eat supper at 4:30 in the afternoon, and shout at neighborhood kids.  No, they're doing much more than that with their healthier longer more active lives.

Some seniors enjoy filling cakes with laxatives and giving them to friends on their birthdays.  Others love knit and crochet condoms and g strings for their sexually active buddies.

 It true the world over, seniors love to make lists.

Travel and tourism is a big hit among today's seniors.  This enterprising fellow sold a big tour package to seniors in his town without telling them that he'd cut the brake lines on the bus that was supposed to take them to Branson, MO and after it crashed, he traveled to Mexico with all that cash he made and now he lives on the beach with a large breasted 20 year old Mexican woman who doesn't mind his constant farting and pernicious old man smell.

Seniors like to wear hats when kidnapping disobedient children, masks too.  They also like to leave their prosthetic limbs laying around on buses, at churches, and in libraries, so watch out!

And finally some senior citizens love to play practical jokes in their golden years.  This old gal loves to fill dolls with anthrax, STD's, or heroin before giving them to sick children.  When those kids get hopped up on 'H' and then get VD, their terminal cancer is the least of their worries!  Hilarity.

So, as you can see, today's old folks are keeping busy while the rest of us pine for the good old days when people didn't live so god damn long.

He's going to take away my guns and try to have sex with me, I just know it.  Now that he's in office for another term, all bets are off and he can be who he really is, a foreign born anti Christian self hating gay Muslim raper of white women.  He hates business and wants to bankrupt us so we become dependent on Communist Nazism.  And I don't care if profits are up 171 percent since he took office, just imagine what they'd be if he wasn't trying to ruin us!
