Don't worry, we're fine

To allay the fears and worries of a certain aunt in Michigan who is prone to worry needlessly about these types of things, we're fine.  We got about six inches of snow and it's bitterly cold and will remain cold until Monday, but we're fine.  I stocked up on essentials yesterday when the storm was just beginning to hit, so we're fine for food and toilet paper.  Also, this snow is a dry snow so it's resting lightly on the ground, the power lines, the telephone lines, and roof tops across the area, so we're all fine with that.  Since we know how to deal with the snow and the cold the main roads and highways are clear and the side streets in town are being plowed slowly but surely, so we're fine there too.  The bottom line is, stop worrying, we're fine.

Snow daze

We got about 8" of snow on top of the 4" we already had.

And yes, we know how to drive in the snow here in the mountains.

And we know all about snow removal as well.

We also know all about how to dress up our kids in winter weather too.

So really, don't bother telling us how you do winter weather shit up north because we don't give a fuck.

Not over yet

We got a few inches of snow this morning, so of course everyone freaking out about winter not being over yet.  How soon they forget that just a few years ago we didn't have much of a winter at all.  Also, I told whoever would listen that we'd have at least one more snow before it was all said and done.

Snow day

After days of bitter cold we finally got some snow.  And of course our local media told us for days that we'd have snow today but there'd be no accumulation.  We're sitting on an inch and a half of snow now and there's more to come later, so yeah, they got that one about as right as they did when they kept telling us Romney was going to win in 2012.

Hey dude, where's my snow?

It's winter here in the northern hemisphere, but it's only 40 degrees Fahrenheit here where I live.  It's supposed to be near 60 by Thursday.  I want snow.

Fucking climate change.
