Raysse is a French artist who achieved fame and renown in the 20th century. He's still alive as I write this and one of his pieces of art recently set a record for having the highest sale price of any living French artist. He concentrates mainly on the female form and his work is an embodiment of the pop art movement. I love his use of color and the 'ordinary-ness' of his subject matter.
