You know something is wrong with your tax plan, which gives the wealthy a massive tax cut while raising taxes on the working poor, when you won't even explain the basics of it to a Republican friendly Fox News talking head. Poor Paul Ryan, he knows his emperor has no clothes.
They're dampening down expectations for Mitt in Wednesday's debate. They're laying the ground work for telling people that as long as he doesn't make another huge error then he wins the debate. It reminds me of the way Republicans and Fox News prepped us for Sarah Palin's debate with Biden.
I've never in my almost fifty years on this planet seen a presidential campaign run this badly by the Republicans. It's even worse than Bob Dole's campaign against Clinton in 1996, which is really saying something.

And Bob Dole was probably the last "sane" Republican in existence. Sane is used relatively here.
I cringed when I heard that he and his staff have been rehearsing "zingers" for use during the debate. It will be like having dinner with that slightly out of it uncle who keeps trying to crack the table up with twenty year-old catch phrases. I'd almost feel sorry for him, but I know he has nothing but contempt for me and mine, so up his nose with a rubber hose. Ooh, that's a good one. I should send it to Romney's debate prep staff.
