Happy solstice!

The longest night of the year, for most of us in the USA anyway, is tonight. I'll be using it to wish for a warm winter.

I'm wishing for a cold one. I'm tired of snow falling when the temps are right around freezing; I hate driving on slush. I want single digit temperatures and powder snow.

One of these days, I'm going to place stone markers in the garden to mark the points of the solstices and equinoxes like man used to do in the old days. Happy Solstice and stay warm. The good news is that it won't be long before we can set out last year's seeds to germinate for next year's garden.
