In the main garden space our potatoes and strawberries are growing faster than the urban myths and legends about Osama Bin Laden's murder. Our asparagus hasn't popped back up yet, which leads to fear the worst for it. This weekend we'll plant the tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, and egg plant we started from seed.
In the smaller former rose garden we've got peas, spinach, Swiss chard, lettuce, onions, carrots, radishes, and two varieties of squash planted in those containers in front of it.
In the white containers I planted several varieties of peppers that include, Hungarian wax, Cherry bomb, Kung Pao, long red chili, and sweet red bell.
More updates to come about our urban homestead as more stuff grows! Stay tuned!

Oh, I envy all that garden space.
You have a beautifully laid out garden! Makes me feel like foraging!
Green with envy. I'm trying to container garden, but fear our patio is too shady for too much of the day.
I started some pepper and eggplant plants from seed at my brother's. Sadly, he decided to put them out earlier than they should have been put out. I might be able to salvage a few peppers. Maybe.
At least the bok choi, swizz chard, and basil have survived. There's that.
And your garden looks lovely.
LOVE IT! And I'm so jealous that you own your space. When did you start your asparagus bed?
