I loved the first one, too, and have never gotten around to seeing the second two films. I want to, as bad as I hear about them, just never got around to it.
Revolutions falls prey to digital bloat, and action without consequence.
But don't dismiss Reloaded. Absolutely the best cause-and-effect action scene ever designed (on the freeway).
It also has the great, subversive-to-the-genre scene with the Architect (in the middle of the rush to save the lady!) in which you learn that everything you know is wrong. That was a twist.
