When I heard my idiot US Senator Lamar! Alexander, seen here right after he got done 'sexing up' a close relative, was defending Sarah Palin's use of crosshairs on a map targeting Democrats I fired off this email to his office:

You need to resign your office this instant you craven coward. How dare you say that the media needs to stop mentioning that the poster girl for political intolerance, Sarah Palin, put a map out with crosshairs on it that was meant to target Democrats. You sir, are a stooge of the two groups that are ruining this country, corporations and the NRA. I advise you to resign and to go spend the rest of your days living in poverty and serving the poor. You are an abomination.

Somehow I doubt he'll be getting back to me.

I didn't know how to contact you so I did in through the comments.

Would you be interested in me saving any monkey pictures for you? I see them on tumblr all the time and I always think I should be saving them and sending them to you. If not that's cool but I just thought I would ask.

He may not get back to you, but I am glad you sent that email.

He will probably add you to his email list so he can brag about the high number of people on his mailing list, and send a form letter response.

Sure thing Kal. Thanks for thinking of me. You can send them to

He'll probably forward your letter to the Secret Service, because you're being all mean and stuff to him.

Most likely scenario? You'll get a form letter thanking you for contacting his office and reassuring you that he values hearing from all his constituents.

Worst case scenario? He'll add insult to injury by thanking you for your support.

He looks like a rotting corpse. I can smell him from here.
And Ten is right, of course.

Blue's right on. I've sent several professional yet strongly-worded letters to my representatives and no matter what I've said generally get a letter back that begins "We appreciate your concern on _____ issue...."
