A brief movie report

I highly enjoyed this geriatric revenge fantasy tale. It's very violent and at times it's repellent to watch, but it's gripping, intense, and ultimately a very good film. Michael Caine has never been better than he is in this film.

I just might put it on the queue. I have loved Michael Caine ever since Blame it on Rio. Or was it Educating Rita?
Thanks, Doctor

I really loved this movie. The human side of the story, old guy caring for his wife, then losing her, then losing his one friend, that hit a lot of nerves around here.

Does he walk away from explosions without looking back, like he does on the cover?

I've had this movie forever but have yet to watch it. Based on your recommendation, I'm going to pop it in tonight.

Sounds intriguing...I will definitely be checking this one out.
I happened upon Michael Caine in a wonderful film from the mid-60's, The Wrong Box. Extremely funny film for anyone who likes British humour...and with a stellar cast.

Enjoyed it a lot too. Love Michael Caine, and am willing to watch him in pretty much anything.

Not to be a downer, but GOD I hated this movie. Not because it's badly done (it's beautiful) but because it is so....SO...SO BLEAK. I was weeping about half an hour in and didn't stop until it was over.

Just saying.
