Joannie Rochette is Canadian of the year up to this point.
After losing her mother to a massive heart attack on Sunday she went out and skated the lights out on Tuesday and almost skated flawlessly last night. She skated her way to the bronze medal and she skated her way into our hearts here at Monkey Central.Well done Joannie, well done indeed.

I can't believe this story. So heartbreaking - and inspiring...
That is what a true hero is all about and showed true character. I hope she has much fame coming to her.
