Wait a minute, you're telling me women, blacks and Jews can vote now?
Not always. After the 2008 presidential election results were out, I asked a friend, "How could McCain win Mississippi? There are more blacks than white there." He said matter-of-factly, "Oh, they're not allowed to vote."
