The Republican candidate has dropped out of the race in district 23 in New York state and she's endorsed her Democratic party opponent. She did it because the big time Republican money and noise machine has gotten behind her more conservative rival, who incidentally doesn't even live in that district. The conservatives claim she not a real Republican or a real conservative because she supports a woman's right to choose and President Obama's stimulus package. In other words, since she doesn't agree with the conservatives 100% of the time then she's a godless Commie socialist fascist negro loving pig who should not hold office and who had damn well better produce a birth certificate and no that that birth certificate.
I hope the conservative candidate who ran her out of the race wins that seat. And then I hope that his victory emboldens the far right teabagger birther nut bags and they take over the rest of the Republican party. I hope they run as far to the right as they can in 2010 and 2012.
Please, please continue to purge all other Republicans who aren't a little to the right of Atilla the Hun. By all means, keep this up and the Democrats will not only keep their majorities in government, they might actually grow some spine as well.

Did you read where Sarah (gag) Palin is making "robocalls" to some conservative voters? Palin the one who stated numerous times that the idea of "robocalls" was archaic. I agree - let them go as far right as possible (taking Limpdicky with them).
It's almost exciting to read stories every day that put them on the path of Fail leaving a trail of hypocrisy and lies. I really don't think they have any idea what the American people desire or stand for. Pop some popcorn - it's gonna be one hell of a show!
My former-cannon-fodder spouse and I were talking about this and whether she should have stayed in the race to intentionally split the vote or drop out. I never expected she would back the Dem. I blogged about how I think this shit from the teabaggers is a bluff and kudos to the moderate Republicans for calling it.
I dunno, Dr. Monkey, if the rightwing nutjob wins I think the Blue Dogs will point to that and scream "SEE!" Democratic leadership will grow spines the same day republicans grow hearts and brains.
I have a feeling that Faux News will shut down the Teabagger thing now.
