Beautiful. If I had my way, an image of a potato would have been on the disc that the Voyager spacecraft took into space, right between the Chuck Berry, Beethoven, and the naked people.
If you're thinking I spelled potato wrong justfergrins, then you're wrong. It does indeed have an 'e' when it gets pluralized. But I'm sure you knew that already.
Is the yield from the fingerlings worth the effort? I've occasionally wondered how many plants it takes to produce enough to make them worth the space they'd occupy in the garden.

From Your garden? Really? Than how did those four red potatoes get in there? Humm? I'm waiting. I'm waiting very enviously.
Since you are now the consummate farmer...you need to head to Ohio and give me tips. LOL
Dr.
Here I am on my monthly visit to your blog. I continue to have unacceptable Internet access in my concrete bomb shelter.
I remember from last year that you are a skilled gardener.
Beautiful potatoes. I see olive oil, garlic and thyme in their future.

Man, those are beautiful! Sent out your little giftie today. Let me know when you get it, ok?
Yes, those are all from our garden. We planted three kinds, red, white, and fingerlings.
Where is Dan Quayle when you need him?

Give the man a tater! That big one on the left would make a great baking spud...all buttery and well salted and peppered, mmm mmm.

Absolutely the fingerlings were worth the effort. Since potatoes grow under ground they took up hardly any space in my garden at all.
Oh yes.
Definitely try roasting some with olive oil and rosemary and a bit of salt. Mmmm. Excellent work, Dr. Monkey.
