Rest in peace Frank. If anybody deserved some fame and fortune late in their lives, it was you sir.
Your life and life story was an inspiration to this Irish American and I'm sure to many others as well.

Whenever I start whining about my problems, I remember the hunger and deprivation of his early years.
Ahh, this makes me sad. The lad overcame so much and was a great example of how to rise up from bad beginnings. Thanks for the lessons, Frank
Oh dear. Poor Frank. I hadn't heard. I can't seem to keep up with all the famous people abandoning earth these days
I went to a book reading/book signing of his. He was only supposed to sign one book, but he signed both my "Angela's Ashes" AND my "Tis."
Take that, bookstore rules!
He was a class act.
