I enjoyed that book early on, but I don't seem to remember liking the ending. Not sure why, so not dis'ing it.
Often I hate the end of a book I really like, perhaps because I do not want it to end. Perhaps that is why I enjoyed the end of the Harry Potter series, because they had lost me at "Goblet." Therefore, I was not too sad it was over, and could enjoy it. Just a thought.
As for religion, though an Atheist, I will occasionally claim to worship Pelor; just to determine how nerdly someone is ;-)

I actually adore ravens and see many every morning on my hike. My dog, Phoebe, would be the anti-Raven because she growls at & chases them. Man, she hates her some ravens.
