Rest in peace

Say goodbye to two icons of the 1970's:
Fidrych was killed in in an accident on his Mass. farm. His baseball career was cut short due to injuries and now his life has been cut short due to his dump truck. RIP Bird.

And Marilyn Chambers has passed away as well. Behind the Green Door and Insatiable were some of the first adult films I ever saw. I don't care what you think of porn or porn stars, I always thought Ms. Chambers was beautiful and I'll miss her greatly.
********
I hope both she and Mark Fidrych get reincarnated as something or someone really cool sometime soon.

I do remember Insatiable as being the first adult film I ever saw as well. She was very beautiful. She was also good in her one big mainstream role in the David Cronenberg movie RABID. Check it out if you haven't done so.

I am not a person who has premonitions (happy to say) but I did have a premonition of sorts about - of all people - Marilyn Chambers. The other day I thought of her (no, she isn't a staple of my passing thoughts) and, in my mind, she was dead. As quickly as it had come on, the moment passed and I didn't consider it again until I saw the obit. Very odd.

Ah, poor Marilyn. I had not heard this.

It is too bad they both died. I hear Marilyn was under some odd circumstances as well - I fear neither passed peacefully.

So sad.

Death's always tough. I too hope they're reincarnated as something or someone cool.

I want to come back as a bird (of course).

Once when asked how he liked playing baseball, the Bird said, "It beats pumping gas".

I liked the fact that Marilyn Chambers had a box of Ivory Snow with her picture on it in most of her movies after Ivory Snow pulled her off the box.
