It hurt like heck to see Flickr delete my account before I could save all the scans I put on it. And it also hurt to see them delete some of my free accounts I had, especially the bad food and paperback book cover ones. I've learned my lesson and I'll refrain from using my Dr. Monkey alias on all the newish free accounts I set up on Flickr recently.
Even if they find all of them and delete them, I'll have backed up everything I put on there on a couple of different websites, namely Picassa, my various blogs, and Facebook.
Some of the stuff I've found and scanned is too good to lose and people would miss it forever if I didn't save it and put it up somewhere. Things like these vintage paperback book covers are cultural treasures that are getting harder and harder to find and I'll be damned if I let the jerks at Flickr delete them for good.

You sure are a sneaky monkey.
I love that image from the Christie cover.
Sooooo...they deleted the first account, but they also deleted some of the little accounts you set up AFTER the first deletion?
WC-Yes they did. And they deleted a few free accounts I had had for months.
Fucking fuckers! Fight the power, Monkey!
Dang, son! Would it kill you to bust loose with $80 and get an external hard drive?
Why did they delete them? Copyright infringement or something?
I'm loving the scanned book covers. Dang it, I still have the book I want to send you. Sorry I'm very procrastinaty.
I actually was on one of your flickr accounts and saw a bunch of your scans. The bad food stuff was great! Lots of great stuff from old catalogs. You have to get that stuff scanned in again somewhere we can see it.
