Freakin' guns.
We can lock down the Tylenol so crooks can't mess with it but guns are free for the taking. Sick.
I hope this isn't a copycat crime linked to that other church shooter who intentionally went out "looking to kill liberals."
I does prove that the bible is good for something. I'm getting a bible and wear it as a shield while I search for the perfect shotgun for my real protection.
Sadly, in the past year or so there have been a number of shooters who seem to be attracted to churches. There was the right wing crackpot in TN, one in Colorado who was shot by a church security guard, one in NJ who was tracking down an ex-wife, and now this. I think there's a few more that I can't recall off the top of my head.
Yeah, guns are bad, but if we had a mental health system that worked, or a criminal justice system that actually kept bad guys locked up, the guns wouldn't be as much of an issue.
This one struck me as being real personal -- the shooter walked up to the pastor, emptied a clip into him, then apparently tried to reload. He didn't threaten anyone else until church members tackled him. Lots of anger directed at one specific individual. Makes me wonder if the guy had a kid who'd been molested, or a loved one who'd been told to pray his/her terminal cancer away instead of getting treatment by this particular bible thumper.
