Word of the week

After a holiday hiatus word of the week is back and it's brought to you by the lunch ladies of Coachella Valley High."Aubade is this week's word of the week. Aubade is music that is suitable for performance in the morning. It's the flip side to the word serenade. Don't forget to eat a green vegetable everyday and lay off those desserts once in a while or you'll end up looking like Esther."

Some days I long to be post-menopausal.

Don't make me explain why this picture made me think of that.

Hey how did Coachella Valley High get not one, but two pleasant looking lunch ladies?

Those horn rimmed glasses are turning me on, stop it.

I thought Aubade was the preferred sports drink of the Austrians.

Oh no, those are the lunch ladies from MY high school days. Perhaps there were 12 robot lunch lady models and they were produced in factories, then sold cheaper by the dozen to public schools. Sure would explain a lot.

More relevantly, it's a high-end lingerie line!

Is Esther the one in the very back? She looks like she has several rather unorthodox (and extremely unpleasant) uses for the extra large spatulas that all lunch ladies carry. And she's not afraid to use them.

Smart lunch ladies? When did this start happening?

Hell, I look like Ester now!

Why did those glasses ever become popular?

I would have pegged that word for a type of fish, probably one served on Fridays by the lunch ladies of Coachella Valley High.

Aubade: sounds like a an abomination unto Nuggan. As far as I'm concerned, music is a nocturnal activity. Maybe that's just the rocker in me rearing its ugly head.
