Dolls and bread we can believe in

The other day on one of my many trips to Lowe's I found this under the windshield wiper of our car when I came back out after buying supplies:
I'm guessing someone saw our Obama '08 bumper sticker and that's why they gave us these cheesy cheap Obama dolls. Here's a close up of them, I love Michelle's blue eye shadow:
Sparky had a snow day today, her office was closed due to the snow and cold so she decided to bake some bread. She made the dough and it rose as we watched Barack Obama become our 44th President. After the dough was risen and Obama was sworn in and gave his speech, she made this in honor of this historic day:
Mmmmmm, fresh baked bread we can believe in. Oh happy day!

You and Sparks were made for each other!

I love that you got those dolls under your wipers. That was a very cool gesture.

Isn't fresh bread the best? I've made a loaf just about every weekend for the last 2 1/2 months....it's really not all that hard to do, and the results are fantastic.

If you end up with leftover bread that has gone stale, I found a great technique in Cooks magazine for making bread crumbs (besides toasting that is). They would cut up the bread, and them microwave it on low for 5 to 8 minutes, stopping every once and awhile to let the steam in the bread evaporate out, then dropping it in the chopper once the bread had dried. This makes crumbs that aren't dark brown, and are superfine in grain.

Coat a pounded chicken breast with that and fry it up (or bake, for my monkey friends with heart problems), and brother, that's good eating!

Yikes that was long, that could have been a blog post!

I had Cheerios for breakfast this morning. Must have been a subconscious celebration.

Mmmm homemade bread…

Is it weird that I’m sad that they weren’t “real” Barbie’s? Oh well, it was still a nice gesture.

Love those dolls!
I was planning to bring O-nuts to work today, but didn't get up early enough. It was like a holiday at work!!!! Everyone was watching live on CNN or just taking the day off to celebrate.

Hmmm, dolls and bread. This is the kind of post that makes go "Oooooo!"

I love it when dolls/action figures look nothing like the people they're meant to represent.

Love the giant bagel.
