Packed and ready

We've spent the entire weekend, just about, finishing up the final packing and we only have a few more things to go. It's down to the wire on getting out of our condo and into our new place.

We're both mentally worn out. The stress of all this has nearly caused our heads, especially Sparky's since she has more brains inside hers, to explode. Physically we're also near the breaking point. We've been packing, staging boxes, cleaning, and other chores in preparation for the movers on Tuesday. We switched most all the services over to our new place, electricity, water, etc, with the exception of our cable which also mean our high speed internet. Due to some asinine cable company policies I can't get it transferred over yet so that means I'll be without cable, damn!, and my internet for a few days beginning on Tuesday. The cable services here are scheduled to be to on through until the 30th so that means they could cut it off at one second past midnight tonight. If they do, then they do and I'll see you kids again as soon as they hook us up. I'll miss you but what with unpacking and setting things up in our new place I'll have plenty to do.

Wish us luck, send us some of your spare energy (if you have any that is), and I'll see you later my peeps. Much love to you all.

I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. Moving is a hassle, but you'll be so happy when you're all settled in!

Egads, moving! Watch out for the stress factor. That little troll can sneak up on you.

May happiness and cheer move into your new place with you. Take care and we'll see ya when the dust settles.

I always hated unpacking the crap I'd brought from various desk drawers . . "I packed THAT? What was I thinking??!"

Best wishes and stay hydrated.

Good Luck on the move, Dr. Monkey. And remember, that one box that you forget to unpack and just move house to house to house? Toss it.

Geeze, I wonder if Paulson is going to be your new mortgage broker?

So many emotions, so little space . . . .

1. Good luck and Congratulations! Yeah! New homes are the best and yours sounds even better than best!

2. Whenever I've moved, I've always packed a grocery sack with a few must haves: roll of toilet paper, toothbruth & toothpaste, 409, roll of paper towels, energy bars, clean knickers (in case I gotta wear my same clothes 2 days in a row).

3. Finally, how can you do this to us?????? Today of all days??? This week of all weeks???? The world is literally falling down around us and Dr. Monkey won't be here to help us stay sane? How will we survive? What will we do? Where are my meds?

Hope you are back on line real soon!

Man I hate moving!! But you know what? You got your own house now, and that's the best thing for you, so it's all going to be worth it. Ply your friends with the standard movers contract (pizza and beer), and it will all go smooth, and may even be fun. Lastly, a piece of advice from my last move from an apartment to my own house...unpack as soon as possible, nothing makes a home feel like home than to have all your stuff where it should be, and your bed put together, and all that good stuff.....it's good to be home.
