Dennis Hastert's seat has been republican since WWII. One of the last prominent democrats from the district was from Dixon, Illinois. His name was Ronald Reagan. (Some time after leaving Illinois and divorcing his first democratic wife he became a republican like his second wife).
Rachel Maddow is awesome. The only thing that would be better would be if she were to replace Chris Matthews. That would be awesome.
