Luckily she didn't get mad at me because I am a good gift giver, I usually find unexpected gifts that she wanted all along but would never have bought for herself. But since I didn't get her that tag I felt kind of bad. And it stayed with me that niggling feeling that I had let her down.
Fast forward to yesterday. We were out and about on our usual Saturday jaunt/errand running trip and we decided to stop by a local indoor flea market. We were perusing the many and vaired goods for sale and we happened upon a booth where a woman was making custom car tags. We asked if she had anything like a peace sign tag or a recyclying symbol tag for sale. The woman showed us a peace sign decal that she could print off and stick on a tag. Sparky liked the decal and she picked out a bright blue tag on which the bright white decal would go on. Lo and behold, $16 dollars later I finally got her the one thing she'd asked for for Christmas. And here it is:
Peace out my homeys.

Better late than never and of it is a thoughtful and wanted gift.
Do you think I could get one with a shot and a beer on it?
I so totally LOVE that and it looks GREAT!
What a good story too- you crazy monkey man.
You should come check out the Library Thing widget on my blog. I have over 200 of my books entered in and they rotate around randomly. Watch long enough and you may see some - er, ummm you may see some Trouble if you know what I mean.
Very nice. I prefer bumper stickers because I have so darn much to say.

That is quite thoughtful of you to make good on your Christmas promise. I like the way it looks. Sorry I have not been visiting very much. I've had exciting and meaningful developments in my life.
