Dennis Kucinich is dropping out of the Presidential race, or so Think Progress is reporting. I hate to see him go because he mirrored my own political stands, there is not much he and I disagree on. However I always felt like he was not in a million years electable, so a few weeks back I had decided to vote for someone who is not only electable, but who beats all Republicans in every poll out there, John Edwards.
I had my doubts about Edwards and his sincerity but they have all been laid to rest. He's the real deal and he'll make a great President. He's not beholden to any corporate interest or lobby and in fact the major multi nationals hate him because he took so much of their money when he was a trial lawyer. He's the heir to FDR and LBJ and he's in the trenches for you and me. I'm voting for him and I hope you do as well. After all, if the media hates him and big business hates him and the pundits like CoulterMalkin hate him, then he must be doing something right. Obama got the John Kerry kiss of death and Hillary is nothing more than Bush Lite, so go to the polls on your state primary day and vote for John Edwards!

If Kucinich is dropping out, then I think you made a good choice. I was very impressed in his showing at the debate the other night. Plus he's got good hair. Expensive but good.
I think a lot of people might end up getting sick of the bickering between Obama and Clinton if it doesn't stop soon. Edwards might just surprise a lot of people.
I mailed off my ballot today with a vote for Edwards.
I concur with the Monkey.
I really, really like Edwards.
Just what I was thinking myself.
You know, I am so undecided right now. The endorsement of a monkey doctor does make one rethink things, but I haven't been very fond of him or Clinton since their little collusive comments to get the wingnuts off the debate stage. It's going to take a lot for either of them to live that down in my book.
I miss Kucinich already.
I'm right there with you, Dr.
I've always backed John Edwards. He IS the real deal. And his wife is fantastic. I got to meet them both up close in Iowa last Fall.
I was for Edwards at first, and then, with the help of Air America, I changed my vote to a 100% vote for Kucinich. It had been decades since I was honestly excited about a candidate.
So thanks for your endorsement (spelling?). It helps me feel enthused again about the elections.
I just read the Kucinich news this morning. I agree with you completely on Edwards.
My son, The Evil Dictator, took some kind of political quiz and it indicated he's a Kucinich guy (and that his diametric political opposite is Romney).
I've been an Edwards supporter all along. Though I'd be okay with any of the Democratic candidates.
YAY! I am hoping that other Kucinich supporters go to Edwards now so that maybe he can start to really challenge the media-annointed king and queen, Obama and Clinton. Edwards is the real deal.
I'm in agreement with freida bee. Were it not for that creepy incident with Edwards and Clinton conspiring to exclude other candidates, like Kucinich, from the debates, I'd have been inclined to back Edwards in the absence of Kucinich. Now I don't feel like he can be trusted and I don't know who to support. Maybe Hucksterbee - he seems like a guy with real integrity.
"Maybe Hucksterbee - he seems like a guy with real integrity."
Ed, please tell me that was a joke. No one with their head that far up the collective ass of the Conservative Christian coalition (and wanting to have it up the collective womb of every woman in America at the same time, I might add), has integrity.
I wish Kucinich had waited until Feb 6 so I could at least vote for him in the Primaries here in TN. Damn!
i just did the same thing today and put links up to edwards on my blog! ha, great minds and all that...
do you think kucinich dropped early so edwards could get his votes?
I am also considering the fact that Kucinich himself is supporting Obama. I agree with him on nearly every issue and he knows the candidates very well, I'm sure.
Dang there goes my first choice protest vote against Thing 1 & Thing 2.
Hello protest vote second choice - Edwards!
Geez-just saw the results from SC:John is a distant 3rd. In his home state. I don't know what people are thinking when he's speaking about what polls are saying they are concerned about, but they give support to a candidate who gave props to one of the worst (I believe) presidents in our history, or Hillary) sigh...I don't know. I really don't know.
