Stormy Sunday-UPDATED!

The rain stopped shortly after I originally wrote this post. Snow has been falling since about 11:30 this morning but because the ground is so warm it has not been sticking much. I took this photo outside of Monkey Central around 1 PM EST:
It's quite cold and I expect most all school systems will be closed or opening late tomorrow due to icy roads.

Remember the other day when I said it was sunny and 70 here in east Tennessee?

Well, that was last Tuesday. Today, Sunday 12-16-07, it's cold, rainy/snowy, and the wind is gusting at about 30 MPH. As you can tell from the picture above it's also foggy, so foggy in fact that you can hardly see the mountains.

Personally, I'd like to see the temps drop to about 30 degrees and see it snow about 3 feet. I doubt that that is going to happen but it did actually snow about a foot and a half here in about 15 hours a few years ago. The whole region was paralyzed for days because it had been many years since we had seen that much snow at once.

I hope the weather isn't too bad where ever you are.

I sure wish we would have a snow/ice day tomorrow. I could handle not going to work.

Snow is nice this time of year, I think, especially if the holiday tasks are done. I only miss the snow around Christmas... and even then I manage.

It is currently 62 degrees, partly sunny, and visibility is about 10 miles. I can see some mountains. I have blooming flowers, oranges and grapefruit on my trees, life is good.

Don't even think about asking me about the weather in July, tho. :D

Just snow here. It looks quite pleasant, really.

Cool, Dr. Monkey. I'm happy for you. There's nothing like a "wintery mix of snow and sleet" to put order to the test.

I LOVE snow. Glad to be getting lots of it this year.

Really cold and gusty here, Monkey. We were supposed to get tons of snow on the weekend, but we just got some ice and a little snow. But the roads are being well taken care of by PennDOT, so sadly, I had to come in to work today.

Barb-Take the day off and tell them I said it was okay.

Bubs-I like snow.

Crayons-You got that right girl.

Suzy-I think you may be my good twin.

Dguzman-I'm sorry you had to work today. Take tomorrow off and tell them to pay you anyway.
