As the rain poured down outside she gave birth to me, the last of the brood.
That's me barefoot, smiling, and happy to be alive one year later.It's been quite the trip to get from the housing projects of Detroit to where I am today. I'm glad to still be around and I hope to be around for another 45 years.
In the meantime, I'm gonna enjoy my birthday cake. Mmmmm, German chocolate cake, mmmmmmmmm.
