We all got fooled again

This quote from a CNN story on Blackwater USA which I found via Crooks and Liars sums up everything that is wrong with Bush's war on Iraq:

"It is unclear how Iraqi courts will attempt to bring the contractors to trial. A July report from the Congressional Research Service said the Iraqi government has no authority over private security firms contracted by the U.S. government."
The Iraqi government wants to prosecute the thugs from Blackwater (Amway) USA. Reasonable enough right? They want to put the murderers of their citizens on trial in a court of law that we helped set up, seems logical right? Right?
Oh wait, there's a little sticking point. The allegedly sovereign nation of Iraq that we helped free with the blood of our military is not so free to govern it's people after all because they have no authority over the private security firms contracted by Bush's junta. Amazing huh? A free country with no authority to arrest and try murdering thugs who terrorize their citizens.

Hey Iraqis, meet your new boss, he's the same as your old boss.

And he's going to do to your ship of state what he's done to ours,
run it aground, give his little frat boy laugh, and then walk away with his pockets bulging with the money he stole.

Great post- I hate it that some apocalpytic asshat who thinks he can kill and pay his way into heaven is in charge of Blackwater.

That is very bad shit indeed.
