Up yours John Roberts, Sam Alito, Clarence Thomas, Antonin Scalia

You damn stupid free speech squelching bastards, you are as wrong as wrong can be and you are all traitors to our country for turning over precedents without good reasons. Hang in there other justices, stay alive until Chimpy gets booted out.
We love and support you "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" Kid. One day your free speech battle will be seen as a watershed moment in the battle against tyranny.

Is the USSC creating a political climate where the laws don't reflect the wishes of the people? I think they will eventually put their own country down a collision course of Red State NeoCon America vs. everybody else. These lifetime appointments for USSC justices should end if they're motivated purely for advancing a political agenda. George W. Bush has about as much business appointing judges as the shop janitor does recommending a company's CEO. The upcoming battle surrounding Roe vs. Wade will be a messy one.

I think that it's becoming rather apparent that Bush's appointments to the USSC are little more than a power grab by the NeoCons and the Fascist Right. When the laws no longer reflect the wishes of the majority of Americans, the laws themselves become little more than a vehicle, levers to advance a hidden, seedy agenda. This happened in the 1920s in Germany, and it ultimately led to the rise of the Nazis & the 3rd Reich ten years later. It creeps up on you and before you know it, you're living in a police state. If the Democrats get in next time, they ought to do everyone a favor & completely abolish lifetime appointments for the USSC.

Actually, you have to wonder why people like Justices Alito, Scalia and Thomas are even on the Supreme Court to begin with. It seems that they, particularly Alito, are highly radicalized Right Wingers who represent only one point of view. They are political, not judicial appointments. Thomas wasn't even the best qualified candidate at that time of his appointmet. He got into Yale Law School with lower grades on affirmative action and now opposes it.

Healthy, balanced conservatism can be a positive force, but not a hardline perspective which represents the interests of a few special interest groups & results in decisions favoring them every time. Someone like George W. Bush doesn't have any business appointing USSC justices, because for one, he's not a lawyer, two, he doesn't understand the laws, and three, his only intent is to advance a right wing extremist agenda. The executive power to appoint justices should be be taken away from presidents and placed it into the hands a non-partisan organization like the ABA.
