TN Gov. Phil Bredesen ("Democrat" or if we are being honest "Republican Lite") earns his profile in this feature by refusing to commute the death sentence of Phillip Workman, and thereby sending another man to his death, and for tossing tens of thousands of uninsured Tennesseans off the Tenn Care, TN's version of Medicaid, a few years back so that he could balance the budget. He not only had tens of thousands of poor and working poor people thrown off Tenn Care, he also signed into law a hike in the sales tax in TN to pay for the health care that the poor and working poor could not longer get. Now, a few years after he gutted Tenn Care and raised our state sales tax, we have a projected state surplus of $600 million. Do you think he'll give that back to us, the people he tossed off Tenn Care? Hell no. He didn't reduce the sales tax after he gutted Tenn Care, so why the hell should he give back the budget surplus? Gov. Bredesen, seen above with the only thing that could stand to be next to his odious ass, welcome to the Hall of Douchebag Shame, though we kind of feel bad calling you a douchebag because compared to you, regular douchebags are upstanding people.
