Not only did Ms. Torres, age 41, blow her competitors out of the water at the Olympic trials, she set a new American record in the 50 meter freestyle event.
Oh yeah, did I mention that she's only 4 years younger than I am?
I'll be rooting for Dara when she gets in the pool at the Beijing Olympics and races against women half her age in about a month. 
I'm sure her daughter will be rooting for her as well.
