Iconic actor, director, and all around bad ass Dennis Hopper has succumbed to prostate cancer. My favorite performances of his include those he gave in Blue Velvet, River's Edge, Straight to Hell, Apocalypse Now, Basquiat, and Red Rock West. There was nobody quite like him and he'll be missed.

Definitely one of a kind.
Here's what I don't understand about DH's death -- when did it become okay to start trashing a guy before the ink on his obit is even dry? Man, all those actors, directors and ex-wives dishing the dirt. All I really care about is that he sure made you sit up and take notice whenever he was on the screen.
@XUP-That's horrible! Some people have no brains or class at all. Dennis Hopper was a wonderful actor and we don't need to hear about his personal business! He really did make you sit up and take notice. He had real presence.
