True confessions

It's time I came clean and confessed some things:
  • I never have been able to stand Barbra Streisand. I don't like her music or her movies.
  • Same thing with Frank Sinatra. If you're my age or younger and you think Sinatra is cool, then I look at you with a ton of suspicion.
  • Go ahead and toss Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. in that mix as well.
  • I'm no fan of basketball, especially the NBA. Ugh, I'd rather have my finger nails pulled out than watch a NBA game.
  • I really like, no scratch that, I really love Joy Behar. But only when she's doing her show on HNN. I won't watch her on The View because I don't watch daytime television, unless there is a world wide sporting event like the Olympics or the World Cup on and because I'd rather get gang raped by Satan's hoary minions than watch one second of anything with Elizabeth Hasslebeck on it.
  • I like Wanda Sykes too but mostly when she does her stand up.
  • If the Red Cross was the only charity that's helps in the aftermath of natural disasters, and to listen to them they are, then I'd charter a boat and go to Haiti and give a random person who lost everything in the recent earthquake a five dollar bill and a bottle of water.
  • If you're a Christian and you haven't denounced what that vile bastard Pat Robertson said about Haiti then don't ever speak to me again. I mean it.

Thanks for the info, Doc. Never know what you are gonna post here, that's for sure.

I love Wanda Sykes. Her new show on Saturday night is hilarious.
She's one of those people you'd love to take a road trip with--or watch Glenn Beck interviewing Sarah Palin with her. Add a bottle of Courvosier and a liter of Coke.

I'm very neutral on Streisand and Sinatra, and I know that's not common because people tend to love or hate them, but I'm just neutral. As for so-called Christian Roberston, I completely reject everything he stands for and that includes his vile suggestion that Haiti brought the earthquake on itself.

Okay, then! Interesting about Sinatra. I would never have guessed that.

I don't think any of those singers you mentioned has a particularly good voice. Maybe a very YOUNG Sinatra. Even so, I don't get the love.

But I am SOOOO with you on the Red Cross. I do not trust them, I do not think they distribute the resources donated to them as they should, and I have personal stories to back that up. Plus, Elizabeth Dole. 'Nuff said. It makes me sad that so many well-meaning people give them so much money.

As for Pat Robertson, it's not enough to denounce him -- anyone who aids him in his broadcast or allows him airtime should be deeply ashamed of themselves.

I think Barbra Streisand is a wonderful person, but I don't like her music either.

I don't like any of these people either, but have no idea who Joy Behar, or Wanda Sykes are, so have no opinion.

As to Robertson, we should send his sorry ass to Haiti and let him tell them in person what he said.

Thank you for this candid confession. I'm SO GLAD you don't care for Barbara or for Frank. Now I got that off my chest. I mostly like the vehemence with which you express yourself on these issues. Go Tiger!
