Are you bummed out over the election results in Massachusetts?

If so,

then wipe your tears away,

brush the weak willed no spine Democratic party out of your life,

and savor the minty fresh taste of the Green Party!

Remember, the Green Party has never let anyone down because the two major political parties in the USA do their best to keep them off the ballot nationwide! Live green and vote Green from now on. I know I will.

Monkey, before 2000 I liked my Greens too. But the sad fact is Nader bushwhacked the 2000 election and siphoned off enough votes to hand us Dubya on a platter--who in turn handed us the senseless Iraq war with its tens of thousands of dead, as well as an eight-year battering of the Bill of Rights. Gore for all his faults would never have done this. Since then, I've seen the Green salad as wilted, and splashed with a tragic red substance...

I don't know what Gore or other democrats would have done differently.

All I know is what they've done with their super majority.

And I am not impressed. Wait, that's too mild. I am disgusted.

Ms. Benbow you've fallen for a lie that's been spread by the corporate media. Nader did not cost Gore the election, Gore cost Gore that election.

Doctor, the corporate media licked Bush's butt for eight years. What I ask myself is who the 2000 Green voters would have voted for if Nader hadn't been a candidate. IMO the answer is Gore, not Bush. Maybe we'll always disagree, but I still think Gore would have made a less bloodthirsty president.

No question, though, that Gore ran a poor campaign, and it was disgusting that he chose that tool Joe Liebermann for running mate...

Wow Margaret, somehow in what I said about Gore being responsible for his own defeat you got the idea that I think Bush wasn't a bloodthirsty tyrant and that Gore would have made a lousy President. That's pretty darn insane of you. I voted for Nader in 2000 and I'd do it again if provided the chance. Now please read the following statement carefully and get someone to translate it for you if you have trouble understanding it: Gore ran a lackluster campaign and was also handicapped by Clinton fatigue. Nowhere in there do I say that he would have made a bad President or that Bush wasn't a bloodthirsty asshole who was hell bent on war. I suggest you read what I write and not what you think I've written before you leave more comments.

"Bush was a bloodthirsty asshole who was hellbent on war." Yes. "Nowhere in there do I say he (Gore) would have made a bad president." Yes. Maybe I get a little crazy about 2000 because, before then, Nader had been my hero. So much suffering followed that election. I've been told by friends who voted Green (yes, I do have some) that they considered it strictly a protest vote, and never expected or wanted Bush to win. So the "spoiler" tag really isn't accurate. Nobody could have predicted what would happen.
