So true...there are 'power-trippers' everywhere...and Canadian border guards are no exception. I read this article earlier today & was embarrassed & angry that Amy was treated so shabbily. What I can't figure out is why anyone would be 'worried' about an Olympic event being reported on...weird. Sorry Amy...us Canucks don't like dealing with these border people either...somehow too much 'ego' becomes involved.
Its what I like to call 'rookie cop syndrome'. They just got their first taste of real power and the joy in a abusing it. See what happens when you give some redneck border cracker a gun. The reason they weren't allowed to have guns for so many years was exactly the fear that some douchebag like behavior like this would happen. Its the same reason why Park Rangers don't get guns or matches. These things never end well and we all end up taking their guns and matches and pointed sticks away. I said this would happen and once again I was right.

Anyone who wants to mess with Amy Goodman has to get through me first!
When we moved to Canada a neighbour told me "the only rude Canadians you'll meet are at the border."
Completely true.
