The basic elements are these:
- A well intentioned government defense agency unlooses a virus upon a small town.
- People get infected with that virus and turn into flesh eating zombies.
- The flesh eating zombies kick ass and eat all the flesh they can, sometimes even their own.
- A small group of people are resistant to the virus and they kill zombies with wild abandon.
- The group of virus resistant people in this movie is lead by cute as a bug's ear Mena Suvari.

i just watched this movie on your recommendation. i have to say i am a big fan of zombie movies, books, etc. i'm even a fan of the "fast" zombies that have come on the scene in the past few years. just about the only thing i didn't like was the "wall-climber" zombies. this isn't the exorcist. zombies are strong and nearly indestructible because their brains have rotted away the pain sensors, so they'll try to walk with broken legs or bash against a wall until they are pulp.
the climbing of the walls and ceilings, and the jumping out of 3rd floor hospital windows and landing parkour-style to take chase... meh. i know, i know, suspension of disbelief.
still, i thought it was a good movie for the genre (and that's TWO ving rhames zombie movies now), and i'd also recommend this movie for all the same reason you have. thanks for the heads up!.
