OK man, I'm going to live on the edge and say I disagree. I like the sweater vest. I can look very cute. The key is to put the right vest in the right pattern on the right guy. Of course, this photo doesn't show it off to best advantage...

Where is a pulp chick with the gun from East Germany when you need one? Yikes! (see what I did there?)

What do the neighbors always say afterward about serial killers? "He kept himself to himself...and there was this stripey sweater vest..."

Gonna agree with K. Line. In fact, I think I just got a new mission in life, to acquire a few sweater vests. I got my argyle faux wool skirt and men's polyester pants last year, and I think sweater vests are just the thing to go with for this coming winter season. I'll have to remember this checker/stripe combo when I am seeking to confuse my enemies.

I hate to admit that I've worn my share of sweater vests over the years. lol

Are you out of your mind? What would the indie boys wear if it weren't for sweater vests?

I must admit, I had a couple of sweater vests... but I was in high school and my mom bought all my clothes.

Never any diagonal stripes, though. They were all solid color.

A bullet-proof sweater vest would be cool but otherwise I completely agree....bad idea!

it's ok, you're clearly confused. by "bad" you obviously meant "good." it happens.

Diagonal stripes create a barber pole look.
